Honestly I think it's his best album since Life of Pablo, but that's not saying much. There's also like 5/27 songs actually worth listening to.

I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy it. The good songs are very good, but it could be half the length. Definitely still in the bottom half of Kanye's discography, but it's miles better than JIK
 
All I can say is, he must have hated his mother if this was his love letter to her.

This shit was ass cheeks. Sub par production. Features were weak other than baby keem. It was 4 times longer than it should have been. 3/10
 
Jail bumps, but the other songs range from aiiight to cringe. Especially for all the bullshit with the release of this album it was very underwhelming. Worst of any of his albums to date, aside from Jesus is King... I don't want to go to church, another thing that was a turn off for me on Donda too.
 
Cant wait to ski to Heaven and Hell tbh. Songs a banger and gets me hyped.

I thought the whole album was pretty good - maybe like a 7/10? Agree that it was a few tracks too long and that listening to someone rap about Jesus just feels a little weird, but Jail, Praise God, and New Again are all A+ and I also loooove Baby's verse on Hurricane.

What did Baby Keem think he was doing? The second half of his verse is straight ? but the first half is unlistenable. Completely ruins what would have been the best track on the project.

Also, hurricane is a cool song but the Yandhi version was better imo.

Donda is still miles better than Drake’s CLB though. That shit is boring asf.

I liked the production and a lot of the features (Jay electronica, playboi carti, fivio foreign, young thug). Despite some corny moments, I thought a lot of the time Kanye sounded really sincere about his mom and his religious beliefs. My main issues was that the album did not need to be so long (1hr 40mins and 27 tracks) and did not need to feature two well-known abusers. If you cut out half of the songs and then edited down the remaining songs so that they were less repetitive, then i think this album would rank pretty highly in Kanye's discography.

tldr: lots of good songs but unfortunately also lots of filler tracks

Universal Music Group got us. Somehow we’re on here talking about two of their albums as the only current music choices.

I find it mind blowing that BOTH wheelchair jimmy and kanye had prominent abusers on their albums and we just collectively give them a pass. The tone deafness in 2021 is crazy like did not a single person at the label say “this is not a good idea…” ??
