Donating hair: length?

How long does my hair have to be before i can donate it? its getting pretty long so i figured i would just continue to grow it and shave it all off at once to donate it for some good karma...
anyone have any experience with this?
 
I know locks of love says it has to be a 10" ponytail. you cant just send them loose hair. my hair is about 10-11' now but much shorter in a ponytail. do you think they would accept a bunch of little ones?
 
yea but it becomes a pony tail once you cut it off :P lol.
the more i think about this the more i want to do it, so thanks for the info bros.
 
my pro's gf said its about 9'' so it will be about when exams are done for me (april), so that should be perfect
 
Yeah, it has to be around 10". I don't know if this is a problem for you, but it also cannot be processed in any way.
 
i donated 12 inches of hair to locks of love last week, but the minimum donation is 10 inches, in a ponytail or braid and mailed in a padded envelope. A lot of salons will donate it for you though.
 
damn i wish it was less than 10 inches because realistically im not gonna cut my hair down to nothing if i did it so id have to grow my hair to like at least 12 inches, which would take me forever
