Donald Trump running for President

everyone saying he would be an awful president should watch the apprentice and see the he is actually a very smart, realistic person who could easily run this country. Just because he is rich doesnt mean he is an asshole and is incapable, how do you think he got all of his money and built up his empire of properties?

Just take a step back and think about what you are proposing. A reality TV star, who gets in petty fights with Rossie Rosie O'Donnell, would be the leader of the most powerful country in the world...

How many people run for president? Candidates are a dime a dozen. Most of whom run knowing they have zero chance in hell. But that isn't the point. It is a tool for getting notoriety and money.

Seems to me that Trump is trying to get that free boost by being the first to declare a highly probable candidacy. Like I said, it doesn't mean shit. There will be probably a dozen rep. candidates, and god knows how many more from other non-consequential parties. We are still in for a political shit show.
 
If he made billions of dollars hes got to be pretty smart, and politicians don't seem to do a good job running America... I say fuck it, its worth a shot.

Firstly, good luck telling OPEC and China what to do.

Secondly, all that will piss of China, because China is pissed off they will buy less U.S. debt, which will increase interest rates and credit.

 
No, he just seems like an asshole because he wants stuff done quickly, efficiently, and done right. That's exactly what our country needs right now. I think he is far more than capable of running our country, if he puts the same amount of effort that he puts into his real estate into our country and government, we will be set

anyway, whats funny is Trump isnt even THAT rich, he is just flamboyant, and an effective marketer.

Trump would never be able to get the religious right anyway, what 3 marriages? a trainwreck of a personal life. not to mention doing things like the roast on comedy central. not presidential at all.
 
But Donald Trump has no experience in foreign relations and that shit. To me it sounds like he wants shit done straight away and wants in done his way. If he tried to do that he would just end up pissing off a lot of countries, which will have a negative effect on the U.S.
 
Sure he does. He has branches of his corporation based all over the world. He has the experience that our county needs. Even though he may have gone bankrupt once, he rebuilt after and learned from his mistakes. I think if he took what he learned from that, applied it to our country and our economy and debt, he may have a good chance of doing some expressive stuff.

Obama blows, I think we can all agree on that. And he plans on running again, he doesnt and hasn't done anything that he said in his campaign that he would do. McCain should have been president
 
Just because you have seen a few episodes of the apprentice you know how he handles his business? He personally ran up $900 million dollars of debt while simultaneously filing bankruptcy on his casino businesses in the 90's. He didn't build his empire on his own, he inherited a large portion of it from his father. He also doesnt have the greatest personal track record with the Chinese after he burned a large Chinese bank for a couple hundred million on a failed real estate deal on the west side of Manhattan.

Yes he made a nice chunk of change in the real estate development business but now he is taken as a joke.

As I said on the first page, he is a marketing machine. That is all he has going for him now.

And his views on foreign policy are ridiculous, but then again so were the views of some other past politicians/future politicians.
 
And after all of that he still managed to rebuild and still be one of the richest people of the world. I'm almost positive he inherited a small to medium sized corporation, but he is the one who built it up to where it stands today. After all he has been through, he should know what to do and what not to do financially and economically. I'm not saying it should necessarily be trump, but our country needs someone with experience and dedication to get our countries economy back on track and to help recover our debts.
 
It's a combination of the two. Government waste is the main problem, which needs to be defined under law and capped. Next, yes, Reaganomics is a large reason why we're fucked. We do need higher taxes, which will go to non-wasteful spending.

So because I have different views than you, it means that I obviously just watch CNN and listen to whatever Obama tells me to do, right? I believe what I'm told by authority, right? No. Just No. Not to be a hypocrite and do the same thing to you, but you're probably a 25 year old who grew up in a wealthy family and believed whatever your conservative parents told you was "right". I have my own views, and you have yours. So lets try not to generalize here. I myself am neither a Dem or GOP. I'd say I'm pretty liberal, but definitely not on one side. Don't assume sir, or you'll make an ass out of u and me.
 
Im not saying he is, but I think right now, trump has the advantage over Obama and palin until someone else comes along. Palin is running, right? And those are the only 2 I Know of that are running.

The only thing awful about him is that hes weak. Too many compromises that water down his policies. Why don't you like him? I'm not condemning you, just asking.
