Seriously? I dont really understand how he can be called "The King of Afterbang". I was just watching some ski videos and he doesn't Afterbang, he just stomps his tricks. There is a difference. Mike Hornbeck on the other hand, Afterbangs.
And yes, Afterbang does deserve to be capitalized. haha.
 
his afterbang is actually natural, and not a forced "A"fterbang

he afterbanged in his superunknown video, but nobody realized what it was at that time.
 
i think if you stomp a trick clean that is true afterbang. Plus he is just mad steezy in general.
 
to me, Afterbang isn't just about leaning back, with your hands at your side, it's more about riding away like nothing happened, and Wallisch does that like no one else. He'll throw one of the sickest tricks, land PERFECTLY, and smoothly ride out with out moving his upper body - just like he was going down the hill anywhere else. I don't know if everyone will agree with me, but that's my opinion on Afterbang, and yes, Hornbeck Afterbangs too.
 
I definitely agree. I like this a lot better than most of the forced rideaways you see these days. Few can really pull of the afterbang.

I'f have to agree with D.Brown. But what you describe as afterbang is what I describe as stomping your trick. People have been doing it for many, many years so I dont see why we give it a new name... and make it a trend.
 
Wallisch forward landing, stomped. Wallisch switch landing, afterbang. look at the last shot in the So Far So Hood trailer, THAT'S afterbang.

no hate on wallisch obviously but his second trick in slamina, (i just watched it), he lands with bent knees and stands up for the obvious afterbang, he makes it look like butter tho
 
i don't give a shit what he does.
i like watching it, he probably likes doing it. we all love skiing. end of.
 
if you need to know what afterbang is watch some warnick footy...this should clear up all confusion one might have had
 
No hate to Warnick in terms of his skiing, but his afterbang is gayer then 2 guys doing it. I couldn't even finish watching his Superunknown because I was disgusted haha. But seriously.
