It's probably referring to the fact that there's no integrated binding system - the ski is flat and can be drilled and mounted with any binding.
 
This guy is right. O2 is definitely legit, my friend bought a pair of steeply discounted skis from them, no problem.

i bought a pair of brand new krypton pros from them last year for like $200 bucks. i think they fucked up the price but i was charged $200 and i got brand new krypton pros so i don't care. they were legit
