Does this grab have a name? If not I'm naming it.

It's really not even very hard, but I started doing it over the weekend at A-basin and I don't think I've heard a name for it.

It's just one hand on the inside egde of the tail and the other hand on the outside edge, a little behind the boot.
 
so where on the tail are u grabbing?anywhere near true tail?

because im seeing it as a just a japan grabbed with both hands
 
Not like tru tail, and I was doing it with skis crossed, so it was like a toxic with an extra hand on the outside of the ski.
 
ohh iv seen that in edits a few times before im afraid, not heard a special name for it though
 
post a picture but seems like it might be a cruton? someone does it in whiteshine when they session the jump with the chopper if it is a cruton
 
seatbelt is on the nose. like right hand on left ski, outside edge.

So your grab would be left hand on left tail, inside edge, and right hand on left tail outside edge too?

I've heard the name tail wrap before, but no it doesn't really have an official name from what I know. But I can tell you it's not gonna be called the denver grab that's terrible. Maybee if you where the only guy doing it you could name it that but there's a bunch of people doing it. Personnally I don't mind the name tail wrap, it's not incredibly gay and it acctually describes the grab
 
no it's not, seat belt is when you reach over your opposite knee and grab safety so your arm goes across your lap like a seat belt
 
yeah you explained the same as I explained, but on the safety. I explained it a little bit radder, ferrer on the nose, but I thought of the same. we should combine our posts on that one
 
is there a name for this grab.Its like a true nose but you put your right hand on left nose and left on right nose?and you could do the same but with a truck aswell.
