i'm a skier, but i got a nice burton jacket for x-mas.

can i wear it without being stabbed or mocked?

what are the rules elsewhere?

here at home no one will care or they get a pole in the neck. please weigh in on this issue. and happy whatever you celebrate.
 
my friend who is a skier wears the burton plaid jacket (Ronin 2L). he takes a little bit of shit but whatever. it's still a sick jacket
 
Just remember, a pole through the eye of a snowboarder who gives you shit for wearing Burton gear usually shuts him up real quick.
 
It's just a brand, if somebody gives you shit for it they're a total moron with no life. Skiing is about having fun, it's not a fashion show.
 
I got burton snowpants, and I don't care, if anyone else does Ill tell em to suck a fatty, because all I need them for is keep my legs dry. Any kind does the same job.
 
Well, if you're in the park it's obviously a fashion show, but if you're out skiing the mountain it doesn't matter.
 
o right right. what about the flags for flag football. everybody in the park has those now but nobody seems to have any balls.
 
Doesnt matter because its a snowboard company, but considering that burton wont sell his Analog line to some boarshop that sell twintips because its apparently not core, I personaly would not support that.
 
so many skiiers wear board clothes man, including myself. burton even sponsors skiiers now, so it doesnt matter. if anyone gives u shit just throw a sick trick, thatll shut em up
 
i wear bonfire jacket, its a boarding company really but lets face it, board companys offer better looking clothing at cheaper prices than ski companies, its a problem but the ski companies should sort it out not us
 
why dont you just get siver or orage or some company that takes the money you invest in their clothing/company and gives back to the sport (young gun open or orage masters). burtons going to take your parents money and pay shaun white to go to the xgames and eat taco bell and drink mountain dew all day.
 
thanks to everyone who gave me support. I'll keep the coat. now i gotta get some tricks to "shut 'em up". and just so you all know at my little ice hill, its the skiers who are doing all of the tricks. the boarders usually just kinda sit there really. they just gape at everything. i've never seen anyone of them do any thing really off the chain. but there are like 12 year old doing jumps backwards and stuff on skis (i dont know all the names, i just ski- steep preferably). i personally don't care what people ride as long as you are respectful on the hill. thats generally when i have the most issue with snowboarders. they ride half way down the hill. stop. and then sit down?!?! i almost speared some girl in the face who plopped down just beyond a blind knoll and i got a small bit of air going over it and could of severed her neck. and she had the nerve to yell at me!?!? and this was at squaw valley! o well. have a good one guys/girls and thanks again.

i see snowboarders wearing orage and siver all the time i dont care but usually shout at them from the lift telling them its a skier jacket ;)
 
ya i have seen boarders while siver cartel. and for the record i have a Burton Puffy, and a full Planet Earth set up.

I got it cause it was Cheap as f+ck $$ and sick desgin and 20,000mm.

If I was rich, and money wasn't an issues i would try to support the companies that are supporting our sport. I support them in other ways.
 
Brand doesn't matter, it's all about the baggyness. Don't worry about it, I got Burton Phantom pants and jacket for under 200 bucks so it's a very nice deal.
 
I saw a snowboarder in a full predator outfit, with white knees and everything. It was quite amusing, that's just over the limit when you do that.
 
i wear my 686 jacket i got 4 years ago, before skiing companies made anything cool, and an L1 jacket i got this year for cheap as shit thats bomb as hell.
