yeah its ok, there perfect for skiing. ipods fucking rock. Before I had a case for mine it was just chillin in my pocket. Fist hit of the pipe it fell out, music cut out so I new something happen, when I finished my run I looked up the pipe and the ipod was sliding down, it came right to my feet. There was zeeo damage to the thing!

my good friend (a snowboarder) was riding with his...long story made short, he was riding a rail...fell on the rail...landed DIRECTLY on the IPOD...crushed the IPOD...got pissed...but, since he's rich, he could buy a new one.

it was really funny though

 
i have a few times when skiing but i take it out when jibbin and jumpin cause i am afraid it will break...

i do most of the time. its completely safe if ya ask me. ive landed on it and dropped it.. so far safe.

I have an intel mp3 player and its indestructible. i fell directly on it on a rail and it gave me a huge bruise... i wish i had an i-pod though

buy an ipod from compusa and get their extended warrenty. they are the only store that covers damage, so if you break it you walk into the store and they give you a brand new one. pretty badass

or circuit city. you buy the extended warranty and it covers everything that goes wrong, you can poop on it and get it warrantied. i'm getting my minidisc warrantied because the song change button doesn't work right. i get a 130 gift card to circuit city.

most of the newer jackets now have special pockets for MD's or ipods, and thers extra padding in them so if you fall then there is less chance of severe damage...word
