becuase i went skiing today, and was spinnig shitty barley 5'S. I CAN 9, and im spinnign and popping like normal and doing everything the same. my skis are about 2 years old and their 165's and im 5'9 about 175 pounds. should i get some bigger skis and are my skis loosing pop ? tips anyone ?

sometimes people have bad days.

yes, skis can lose pop. the core ca break down, be it wood or synthetic.

you could use bigger skis.

simply put

yah i have a friend whose skis are totally dead i tried riding them and there is no pop left in them

skis definitely lose their pop over time, but most people notice it on rails, not jumps, so i would say you were just having a bad day

ya skis do loose their initial stifness and become more noodlier over time, but companies like ine and k2 put olliebands in some of their products, extremely increaseing the lifetime of the skis pop.

honestly i cant tell. lol i guess i just dont have enough expierence. I have 06 ARV's, are they just not poppy skis? and I ride 165's and im 5'5", and im planning on going a bit longer so, you could go longer if you wanted too

You can deff tell that they do when you go from skis that have 200+ days on them to a new pair. I think it depends on the ski though.

yeah, they might have lost their camber too, which would make it not pop and just not as good in general

skis do lose ther pop over time much like a rubber band get steched from the repeated use skis wont stay stiff after many days of buttters and poping

05/06 TMs here. Also size 165 as yourself, prolly had like 50+ days on them, most of them just standing and skiing down, working as instructor. Definitely lost top, flattened out, I use them for my backyard rail but it's definitely noticeable.
