Does skiing on grass ruin your skis??? +k

So I'm building a jib setup on this grass hill and I was wondering if skiing the grass and a little dirt would ruin my skis. (the landing)Is it alright if i get the rocks out of the way??

grass wont do anything but maybe slow them down

dirt could do some damage though

you would want to wax your skis after riding your backyard at least once.
 
skiing will ruin your skis, if your hitting rails and boxes and just using your skis the way you should they are going to get damaged regardless. just go have fun and dont stress it is my advice.
 
yes, yes you should move the rocks. Also, the dirt from the groun will work into the bases and wear them down, as well as pulling all the wax off of the bases. Get a tarp or something to land on so your skis won't get destroyed as quickly.
 
nah mate fuck that shit. Ski's dont last long but if youre rolling em on the grass and shit just get a base grind after and a solid iron wax and you'll be sweet. or if not just buy some super cheap skis im selling some dumonts 161 centre mount if you want them tryin get rid of them before i head home. PM if your keen.
