Does Red Bull only sponsor super-pros?

soimewhere i heard they only sponsor like the top 3% of all action sports pros or something ridiculous like that

Pretty sure its only super pros. Or pros that are somewhat different. Like McConkey is old, but he does all that crazy ski-base stuff and Red Bull loves that, and Sean Petit isn't the best skier out there, but is super young and probably will be the best in a couple years.

Basically be ridiculously good or bring something original to the table.

yes, red bull only sponsors the best of the best. they have full time employees hunting on ebay and winning auctions at whatever price just to make sure no one gets their logo wear.

Seth is the best Skier Of all time...Red Bull only sponsor the top 3% of action sports they are the best sponsor you will ever have they pay shit loads of money they have a huge athlete rehab centre and they pay for all your medical costs if you get fucked up... and they dont sell any red bull clothing or stickers to the public only to people who are sponsored by Red Bull

the only thing ive heard is people getting hooked up with cases every month..but yea its for super pros and they get grouchy when they see there logo on none sponsored peeps

yeah, i like that about red bull. they are soooo secure on their brand.

here is an example. lets say tanner decided to throw his red bull helmut in to the croud, well, lets just say that tanner would then be defending himself to red bull to stay on the team and would be paying a pretty penny to red bull for that shit...

red bull is a crazy company.

and you wonder if it works. think of how many peoiple want red bull shit.

econ 101... suply and demand.

im not sure but i met a kid at windells who boards for Red bull and hes not a pro. they give him unlimited supply so he goes and sells each for a buck at his school. it was pretty cool

red bull is the shit!! does anyone think i can get some stickers from them if i send some money in an envelope?

you know what? Fuck em. They're only sponsoring the best like pussys. why dont they support some amateurs and stop being so stuck up.

I think its really cool what red bull does its un like any other company that i know. As long as they're not dicks about it then i think its tight.

Anyone heard of Sven Kueenle? He's a pro skier that rides for RedBull and Oakley. He's also a coach at high-north, and skis mostly in Europe. He's not super-pro, he's amazingly sick, but not super-pro.

some people would frown upon him doing that, but i see no wrong in it. hes selling for half as much, anyone who complains doest see the good in it. he should be really friendly with the money. like buying drinks and whatnot

No they dont, last year i sent them my resume and vid and stuff and they told me "sorry but our team is full with Tanner Hall, Jon Olsson, and Simon Dumont

Yea Ive heard of Sven, and Ive looked for Red Bull gear all over the internet, I do have a Red Bull beany but I dont want it anymore cuz I never wear it

theres a snowboarder at my hill sponsored by red bull he just enters all the comps there and if he wins they take his pic with a can of red bull but i think he also gos to other places

Funny story... So last year I filled out the contact form on their website basically stating my Red bull obsession and I talked about freeskiing and how I was stoked that RedBull is so interested in our sport blah blah blah... And nothing happend for a few weeks, and then one day I received a letter.

Not just any letter, but a HAND WRITTEN letter from some lady at Red Bull responding specifically to the message that I sent them. She said that they didn't have any freeskiing goods, but she included 2 DVDs. 1 was of snowboarding (Big jam in SLC at the Delta center... sick vid) and this other hockey video. She also sent a few stickers. However, the stickers were pretty crappy. I was looking for like a classic die cut red bull logo or something... but she included like nascar stickers and this other kinda lame one.

Anyways, while Red Bull may be very selective of the athletes they sponsor and carefully guard their brand, they are still a super legit company who cares about their customers.

The only sponsor pros. However, if you go through reps and whatnot they will hook up free red bull and pay for comp fees and housing and what not. its a pretty sick deal, it just depends on who you know.

It's great marketing. And control of their brand name and identity. They have strict control over how their brand is handled. It isn't just given out to everyone, not everyone has the stickers, shirts, helmets, beanies... and it starts conversations like this. Red Bull. Everyone knows what that is when you say that, not everyone knows what events they hold or the riders and athletes they sponsor but everyone knows red bull.

red bull "sponsors" alot of athletes. alot just get free red bulls and stuff like that. I figure you need to be a top pro to get the helmet and the full sponsership though

oh ya, forgot to add... red bull does alot for events. I just picked up 20 cases off of a phone call and less than a days notice. so as far as being invested in the community, they are very commited to the community.

true. a 'flow' athlete is a dime a dozen. flow athletes will never even see a t shirt with the red bull logo on it. Only the top of the top wear the logo, legally anyways.

Hey guys.. lets not forget Red Bull Schooled last year at Loon where Red Bull payed to bring a bunch of SIICk freeskiers from around the east coast to Loon for the comp. Red Bull does care about amateur riders, they just have a different approach to sponsorships than a lot of other companies.

Sven is a dirty dog, and he deserves the sponsorship from red bull.

sponsorship is NOT about how good you are at whatever sport, rather it is about how well you'll push the product. The approach that red bull gets the top 3% so claimed is not because they are the top 3% skill wise, but so they can sell more red bull

yeah i know a few reps. there jobs seems good. basically they go to different events, wether its a sporting event or just a busy night at the bar, and rep red bull and hand it out for free. Sometimes they have you answer a question or two, but its pretty basic. They also get to cruise around in some sort of vehicle with the red bull can on top

they do a lot of guerilla marketing with those too. my buddy used to be that guy in college, and he would drive around on like homecoming or freshman move in day, days that everyone had big parties, and hand out redbull to people. it was cool because we always had a good hookup for those parties so we always had jager bombs

fuck yeah Mike R. is the man here in Utah for Red Bull. such a super nice guy, and always hooks it up for the events

ya they do sponsor other people than super pros, but they dont pay them. A friend of mine races triathlons, and she is sponsored by red bull, she has some sick clothes and SO much red bull. and shes an AM far from pro. It comes back to who you know gets you sponsored, not how good you are.

McConkey is still one of the top few skiers out there. He destroys big mountains. Seth is probably the only guy better.

once soem dude with a sick redbull truck came to a swimming hole i was at and he tossed em and my firends some drinks for odin cool tricks. ti was supreem
