Does NS delete users that havent logged in for years?

just curious if they do or not. theres a lot of accounts that havent been logged in for years. only reason is that i want to change my user name to one that hasnt been used in years and i think ive been around long enough that i deserve it?

Nope, accounts are here forever and ever!

But if you politely ask a mod, they can always change a previously used account name for you...

ya i noticed this before, some of these accounts are just taking up space and user names, to go down from the excessive 100,000 accounts on ns, how about accounts w/ 0 posts and 0 uploads that haven't logged in past 30 days get deleted

people say this all the time. but why would the site owners want to lower the reportable number of members on their site?

thats fine if they dont want to delete them. i just want the username that no one uses

Its been discussed before many times that it makes no sense to go through and delete old names.

a.) user names and profiles don't take up that much space.

b.) what if someone comes back to NS after a long hiatus? no point in deleting names.

c.) it would take forever to figure out what accounts are abandoned and which just haven't been used in a while.
