dont buy line then, go with a older more expirenced ski manufacturer like K2.

whatever cj, you've probably never used the mothership, if you have, i apologize. But the ski rips. Its super-stable cruising through crud. Its not that hard to initiate spins. Landings off cliffs are just like you hit a 5 footer. Your cofidence level just goes way up. I think they are about the perfect stiffness, for me atleast. bottom line is it preforms everywhere excelently.

If you're looking for a twin BC ski I think there are better ones that line. Seth Pistols, Pocket Rocket, K2 AK Launchers.....almost any fat ski these days has a pretty decent tail rise on it...Rossi XX, Scratch BC.....there are a freakin ton of em'.

 
yeah i've never really skied a pow ski but where im from there isnt pow but now i moved to utah so next year I was thinkin of Pocket rockets some people like em some dont I asked one guy at a shop about them he said 'they suck they are too noisy' I stopped talking to him shortly there after

If you can try before you buy it's freakin priceless. You'll save soo much money on skis if you would demo them.

You're right, some people love Pocket Rockets and others don't. Personally, I love them because they're dimensionally perfect and nice and soft which makes turn initiation in trees a little easier (all i do is ski trees). It's a ski that when skied with good form will ski almost like a freakin GS ski on the groomed but off the groomed will carry you through deeeeep shit. I own a pair and swear by them.

People DONT like em because they're foam core, they not very stiff (makes them somewhat unstable at HIGH speed), and it's something new. Some people think spaceframe technology is shit, well I think it's the shit and many will agree.

Try before you buy, that's the bottom line.

 
I'm a firm Salomon man. I got crossmax's p10 and spaceframe 1080's. But I lost my freaking hook up card.

ya if i were you,based on what kind of skier you sound like hahah its hard to tell though... id say go for the pocket rockets for sure

 
I hate the pocket rockets. They don't ride very well (in my opinion) and the graphics suck ass!

What do you mean they're too noisy? Thats a fuckin stupid ass reason to not buy a ski. Pocket Rockets kinda suck in my opinon. They're way gaper and I see 'em on old texans 99% of the time. I would say demo a bunch and see what you like. Comming from the East, I'd say you'll probobly be ok on something like a PE, its gonna take a lil while for ya to adjust to the deep pow. I skied like a fag for a while when I moved west...and that was after what, 15 years skiing east coast style, going to the JOs 2X and shit. Just be patient and try some shit first.

 
why not the pollard pro? my friend tried it and it rides pretty short, he took it in the park and pow at whistler at the global x

 
i do like lines, but seth pistols are really awesome. try them out...

as said above, demo's are priceless. But if you want my opinion, i say pocket rockets. i swear by them, they've never failed me, and the float. . .amazing

The shop owner of the LINE dealer here does heli tours up into the mountains and he loves his Motherships. He used to ride a bunch of different skis that were the Big Mountain cliff hucker type ones but he switched to the Motherships after he got them into his store and likes them. There's a nice pic of him hitting a 10m on them.

switch bitch. a ski being 'noisey' is a very bad thing. not because it's loud, but because skis aren't supposed to make noise, vibrate, chatter or skid. I guess they'd be good in deep pow but the pocket rockets are ass rockets on groomed runs, ice and anything but what they were made for... pow.
