Does Henrik Harlaut ever take a break from skiing???

Thanks a lot for all those great comments...

and as the answer is - NO, i never stop skiing, i just can't... i've got a sickness that makes me not able to not think of skiing 24/7, the "get hyphy until you die" sickness...

Why the hell should you stop skiing, when you can do it all around the year? He's insane, the sickest skier ever. And he's stoked all the time, so awesome!

Its not like you walk into the ghetto with a NWA shirt on and immediately get your head blown off. In highschool I spent a good number of days wandering around places like Compton with dreadlocks and friends with brightly colored mohawks being totally obnoxious and calling each other niggaz and we never got shot. We did have some Mexican guy threaten to stab us outside a Leftover Crack show in Southgate though.

After Breck, he found a ride to boulder and filmed handrails for a week with Stept. I didn't see him again until US Open where he couldn't get enough speed for the jumps, but decided to throw his tricks anyway. The day after US O qualifier, we skied Keystone from 9 till 4 then drove him back to Breck where he built a backflip jump with Oscar and sessioned it until it 7 or 8pm. With Aspen O the following week, he chilled in Breck, skied everyday, and hitched a ride in the truck of Hath's car to Aspen. After he couldn't register for the contest, he spun laps and made a sick rail edit. As soon as finals were over, we drove to Salt Lake where he slayed handrails with 4bi9 for a few days. Then Gahhblin convinced him to go to Jackson Hole where, much to Henrik's dismay, there are no handrails. Rather than take a bus back to SLC, he stayed in Jackson and stomped two of the rowdiest tricks I've ever seen in the BC. But according to Henrik, "ahhh, not so good, not so bad" After Jackson, he drove back to Colorado and competed in the North American Open. After North American he went to the European Open and Placed 6th. After the European Open, he competed 9 Knights and placed 1st. After 9 Knights he went to JOSS. After JOSS He went to Mammoth for Jib Academy, After Jib Academy he went back to Sweden, slayed some backyard rails, then went to Hood to session Windells and filmed with Level 1. After Hood he went back to Sweden, then flew to NZ for the NZ Open and BOOM, ended up in a few edits.

^What a thug!

yeah, him and byron have been doing that for years, hence they are so good.....if you can ski all year, just about anyone can become pro

i think if anyone had the money to do it, they would.
props for henrik to slay and ski so much, takes alot to be constantly pushing yourself day in and day out.
I personally think if anyone had the finacial backing to travel the world and ski everyday they would do there best to progress and get better - oviously henrik is naturally talented and always has been, look at his stuff from 3 years ago.
Correct me if im wrong, but his parents own a champane company? funds to do what you love is always handy.
I wish I didnt have to work 50-60 hour weeks for 4-5 months to pay for school and have the funds to ski as well.

From what I know his family is not super wealthy. The champagne business is pretty new and really small. The reason he is so good, except his talent of course, is probably that he has lived in Åre for the last ten years. Åre is Sweden´s best ski resort and practically everyone who lives there skis which makes a pretty competitive environment in the park.

why woud he have to go to shool if he is winning comps when hes only sixteen. think of next year, he can acually make some money.
