Does Crystal Mountain Have A Park?

im pretty sure they dont, but i havent been there since the opening this year, and i am not a local to crystal, so maybe im not the best person to respond,

Someone correct me if i am wrong

Ferrari

NO! and that's bullshit. sure sure they have great terrain but the snow could suck and the only thing that would make up for driving that far to see the snow sucks it to slide a few boxes and rails.. WTF CRYSTAL!

miners basin would be the best spot for a park there

but i dont think crystal wants that kinda liability

on sunday i saw at least 4 people being brought down the hill by patrol

they're better off without one

well, just poke around near the top of discovery, you should find everything you need...and i guess i could say the same about the powder too, discovery is pretty much the one stop shop of the lift world at crystal.

there is no pipe and those plans have been deemed none existent after i got done talking with John kurcher about them putting in the park because they want to keep it a family resort and don't wanna bring in the "Park rats" is pretty much how he put it. not only that he doesn't want the liability issues, plus the ski patrol completely back his ass up like there gay with him. if your remotely "thugged out" (tall tees, baggy outerwear. ext.) or just 15 to 21 you'll be stopped by patrol for doing something wrong even if your not. its getting pretty fucking ridiculous anymore.

weird. i'm 17, wear bright baggy outerwear, and have yet to be stopped by the ski patrol. maybe its just not your day. either that or i'm mostly not on groomed runs.

^No its because i've skied there since i was two and skied with the Ceccenti's all the time so it gives you a bad rep with patrol.

neither actually. just stating a fact. patrol loves taking any of the ceccenti's passes and mine as well. plain an simple. don't need to get all dickish when i'm just giving my view on the patrol.

alright alright some off the shit i said isn't completely true about the way you dress and what not with patrol but the whole no park thing is bullshit an got me heated when i OP in this thread. yes good call outs on it. but sorry if i have a heated attitude towards my home mountain because they think there mountain is to good for a park. like posted above it would be nice when the weather and snow suck imo.

There has been a secret park for the last 5-6 years, but they couldn't do it this year. Should be back next year, not to worry.

Fair enough, I thought you lived in Enumclaw. I haven't had much trouble from Ski patrol up there... but I'm not you, so I can't say that your prejudice against their establishment is unfounded.

eh my luck with them just never has been so great. especially the volunteer patrol. pro patrol i don't have much probs with because of being up there mid week. But the point of the thread is THE PARK. which very true bout the secret park this year.

Safety patrol are all volunteer. crystal has 13 Pro Patrol if my accuracy of memory serves me right. headed by Paul who is a friend of the family.

They have more then 13 people on pro patrol, thats for sure.

So you are family friends with the head of Patrol (which you claim is small), Yet you have lots of problems with patrol?

No one counts safety patrol.

yyeah i do. small claim i guess but who cares anyways, and safety patrol are the biggest problem on that mountain.

My friend and I got stopped three times coming down south back for going too fast. Checked online and I guess the groomer in that area is a family ski zone, where you can't pass anyone. Never seen anything like that in my life, all the resorts I've skied. It was the first time I had ever been stopped for skiing too fast, and I would make the claim that the patrol up there are way overzealous about that rule. Its sad when a resort blatantly favors gapers and borderline harasses real skiers.

But on topic, the secret park was amazing that day. I'm glad some dude showed us where it was at.

that's some old school train of thought right there....fight the power, parks are a part of 99% of ski hills and when used safely, the whole family can enjoy!

crystal is officially getting a park for the '10/'11 season.

it sounds like it is going to be mostly rails and jibs though
