I have a 12 in my car that i want to have access to, but i dunno if theyll explode when i open them cuz theyre frozen. Does beer freeze?

depends on how long for... i've left beer out in the snow overnight and it never froze. i leave beer in my chilly ass garage for weeks. but it sure as hell wont explode man. beer isn't carbonated.

The only time cans will explode is if they are frozen solid for a long time. Keeping them cold will obviously not cause them to explode. Besides why are you buyning cans when bottles cost the same? Learn how to drink beer then buy it.

teachnically if cans and bottles cost the same where you are from, the ncans are a better deal, more beer in cans than a bottle. I admit, both have their benefits though.

Well beer will def freeze and it wont take days to explode. we put a case in my buddys fridge and since they were warm we put 3 in the freezer and forgot abouyt them about 8 hours later we remembered and they were all over the freezer.

Also everything will not freeze id like to see u freeze a bottle of 151 or everclear in ur freezer

hmm lets see beer = MOSTLY WATER and some alcohol so yeah im pretty sure its going to freeze. you need aroun 30-35% alc. content for it not to freeze

ya my friend left a 30 pack of busch in his car for a long time during the wintrer. The cans froze and the tops/bottoms (some cans it was the top, some was the bottom) popped out. So beer definately will freeze

you kids are dumb. beer does freeze. and after freezing it taists like shit cuz the carbonation is gone. and as soon as you open it, it will spew out the top. and if you let it freeze enough, it will blow the top off the bottle and make a big mess of your freezer.

^fuck nut i just told you captain morgans wont freeze nor will jagermeister... they are both 35% alcohol content. alcohol doesnt freeze and you need enough in the solution to make it stay a liquid.

I always have my Jag and Captain in the freezer along with normal 40% vodka

its a bad idea to try to get your beer colder faster by putting it in the freezer for a brief time, because it will degrade the taste of it (if you care that much).

whoever said that beer is not carbonated is an idiot, have you ever seen beer foam? thats called carbonation!

 
D-loc, i put a bottle of Bacardi Gold into my freezer at my house, too keep it cold for partying purposes. When i woke up the next morning it was frozen. SO 40% can freeze, i guess my freezer was just a bit colder than yours.

beer will freeze because the alcohol content isnt that high, but hard a wont freeze, unless you had it in a hella cold freezer for a really long time

 
beer well freeze and can "blow up" cuz when water turns to ice it expands so when you beer freezes it expands, and well definitatly brake the bottles open. As for alcohol im pretty sure it freezes at 0 degrees farheneit or how ever you americans spell it, because Im pretty sure your temperature scale is based on the freezing point of alcohol and not water like ours is

my mom gets a new case and she puts some in the greezer so they get cold quick but some times she forgets about them in there and when i open it up there is exploded beer bottles every where fuckin crazy

Actually, some beers in some containers (cans) can be frozen. Such as Keystone Light.

i had the worst case of this, i am under age and my parents do not like me drinkin, while my brother who is of age can. so i bought beer for newyears and ended up i had to dd. so i left my beer in the garage, not thinking it would freeze, well a couple weeks later my brother was home, and i saw my dad pouring all my beer out cause they froze, and he asked me if they were mine, and of course i said no and blamed them on my brother. my dad gave my brother shit for leaving good beer in the garage to freeze.

alcohol cant freeze.... beer only has 5% alcohol in it so yea the remainder will eventually freeze... takes a while though

 
alcohol freezes at a lower temperature. thats how u can get a reading on ur thermometer that is real. if it froze at -10º many alcohol thermometers(most of em are today) wouldnt be able to go past a certain point. but it can cause alcohol freezes at a lower temp. and btw Antifreeze, won't freeze im pretty sure, hence the name
