I've switched to wearing narrower athletic joggers so I can take my ski pants off for the ride home. Just as comfortable and warm (so far) but way nicer to be able to switch out of wet snow pants.
I can't stand leggings/ base layers that go down to my ankles. It's the worst feeling in your boot. I have no idea how other people do it, but it makes me cringe. I usually just wear like shin-length leggings and tall socks and I'm set. Nothing bunches up in my boots and they're super thin under my pants. So nice
When it gets warm though fuck that, just pants are fine for me. Except my armada pants have this stupid Velcro belt thing that scratches my sides and it's the worst feeling ever. Fuck those pants.
