Does anyone know much about Oxycotin?

The doctors say that because I am using it for pain and not to get high and because I am not going to be taking them for more that a few week, I should not worry about addiction. I have lost a few freinds to Oxycotin and I am a little paranoid about it. Does anyone know if this is bullshit? I would take the word of experience over a medical journal any day of the week. Any advice? I obviously can't sleep for shit on them.

what dosage? You can usually sell it for pretty good coin if you don't really need it or you prefer other (420) pain killers.

oops didn't read the part about you loosing friends. My bad. Don't crush it and snort it. Still the question as to dosage still stands, it is fairly addictive so depending on the strength and the frequency of consumption ....

^HAHAHA

..um I dunno, but if you're really worried sell it, then buy tylenol (sp?) with your money and maybe a contributer status

Its usually snorted if somene is addicted, if taken for a long period of time it will make you sick and very nauseus, its not really all that bad of a drug i was on it after both of my surgeries, but only could take it for about a week before it made me really ill and couldn't eat. Its known for addiction from snorting.

Oh and don't drink with it, I leanred the hard way

i dont know anything specific bout oxycotin but if its anything like codine, make sure u eat, and never take it on an empty stomach.....i broke my collarbone at camp at hood, ate the chinese food on the last night, threw up later, then took the recomended dosage and OD'd in the middle of the night, thank god my counselor came back from gettin stoned to see me like seizure on the bed, idk if id be alive otherwise

i don't know whether you have it in the states, but i've been on a drug called tramadol(no idea if thats how its spelt) for my dislocated hip. I only took it for like 2 weeks after my accident, but it pretty much puts you off to sleep, because its morpheine based, and i didn't get addicted at all. Ask for it if you can, because a couple of weeks ago when it was soon after my crash I couldn't sleep fuck all when i wasn't taking it, would only get about 2 hours a night. But when i got the prescription i would take some and have a normal nights sleep aside from being really uncomfortable. I know what its like being in the hospital on no sleep, I was starting to get really stressed out and not coping with the atmosphere of the hospital, but after tramadol and sleeping i felt so much better and relieved. It probably won't help the pain nearly as much if you take it instead, but even if you take it before you want to sleep it will help a lot. Especially since the body heals and recovers the most while you sleep. Good luck dude, hospitals suck asshole so i know you'll be having a tough time. just be glad you get to ski your season at 100% like you said, thats super lucky considering the severity of your crash. im missing out on a record season down here in NZ, as well as your season since i was planning on traveling there for a few months. major bummer but i might get to ski a 3 week holiday in

canada if i'm lucky. Go hard with your physio and rehab, get some protein powder for shakes, and try your best not to become an addict. Try not to worry about becoming addicted and tell yourself you're a much stronger person than that, read books and don't let your friends tell you how lucky you are to have legal heroin, that won't help. +++vibes

I was prescribed Oxycodone (pretty sure its basically the same thing different name) for a pretty long time (3-4 weeks) when I dislocated 4 toes. You definitely loose a little weight when you are prescribed it. I remember not having an appetite at all when I had to take that shit. Makes you feel like garbage. Fuzzy garbage.

word, i took it for my surgery and its not addicting or at least i didint think so, after about 2 weeks I stoped taking it and just took advil eventually. It just made me not wanna eat and I would pretty much sleep all day idk how you cant sleep.

I say go for it but stay away from it as soon as you feel a little better.

my friend compound fractured his radius and ulna when he was 12 and took oxy for the pain..he became horribly addicted and continued taking them all the way until July 8th, when he overdosed in his bedroom and died. He was only 17 years old

just be responsible please

thats horrible dude. my moms best friend was horribly addicted to oxy for some years but finally beat it. my friend was supposed to take it for wisdom teeth but didnt risk it and toughed the pain. but my moms best friend only took it like 4 times before being addicted. watch out dude

ps. recently they have slowed the release time and made it more gradual to make you feel high less and i think it helps the addictiveness.
