crochet/wool/knitted thongs made by friends are not comfortable. The professional ones where the wool they use is somehow made softer = maybe a little more tolerable (like those swimsuits they have out).

I have a crochet thong, getting the fit right on those things let alone the fact that its wool makes it crazy uncomfortable. I only ever worn mine the night I got it to a party.

if you wash them the yarn gets all soft and fuzzy and is no longer itchy. At least on my head...I would assume its the same on the goods.

Chain enough stitches to go around the waist of the person you are crocheting for. Then, in the center, basically crochet an earflap. After that chain from the bottom of your "flap" to the waist part and voila, a thong.
