Does anyone ever ask you for ski lessons?

I would have taken that offer. Sometimes when i see newbies struggling I go up and give them a few pointers.

If people ask me for a lesson I always say yes, actually.. I don't stay with them for the entire day but I'm always willing to help someone progress.

a friend of mine who snowboards invited me to go to the mountain with him, his girlfriend, and his cousin. he forgot to mention that his girlfriend and cousin dont actually know how to ride, and will be expecting us to teach them. so basically i ended up buying a 40 dollar lift ticket to go side slip the bunny hill and try and figure out how to teach someone how to snowboard, even though ive never ridden a snowboard in my life.

fun night.

yeah all the time, its not weird or anything??

Oh wait, that's my job... I'm an instructor.

Yeah if you don't know how to give lessons you're going to have a bad time trying to teach a family member, or a significant other. Leave it to someone else, because they tend to get pissed a lot quicker at someone they know as opposed to an instructor.

Trust me, i've seen a mother come unglued and just verbal destroy her child because she couldn't stand up on skis.

It hasn't happened yet but I only ever give them advice if they ask. The only people I feel I can pressure are my friends

Yes. Kid asked how to front flip and said he was going to try it and I told him you have to learn to ski first and then you can come ask.

The most I've ever done is helped some girl get back into her ski, she was trying to click in and the heel was still engaged.
