Does anyone else think that skiing with goggles is overrated?

Sup NS? So i have been skiing a lot at hood recently (in the winter and summer) and i have been skiing without goggles and i have found that it is much more effective. Even when it is snowing i like the feeling on my eyes. Goggles just get in the way and are kinda pointless. I feel like people who wear goggles just do it to 'be cool' or for 'style' and 'ease'. All you 13 year old kids with your wisdoms and shit are just trying to look like gangbangers. I can really relate goggles to other stupid trends like double tips and long shirts.

Just my thoughts? What do you guys think?Thanks, Jibba
 
Goggles are as important as your helmet when your skiing. They protect your eyes from amplified UV rays, they protect your eyes from tree branches and extreme temps, and they also can amplify contrast in certain lighting situations. And when its really sunny out, its obvious why you would want goggles.

So... your retarded for asking.
 
*YOU'RE retarded. Goggles do not do anything. Most of those crappy "cool" goggle brands like 'shred' have lenses that are made in CHINA. Can you really trust that? Ps. Learn to spell and please get your facts straight before you point me out on stuff :D

Not to mention sunglasses reflect a lot of light, so they can reflect light coming from behind you back onto your eyes. Every burned the whites of your eyes? Shit sucks.
 
I like skiing without gloves cause I find my hands have a tighter grip on poles..it doesnt matter that they could get frostbite in -15..thats just a myth.
 
ATTENTION HATERS:
So judging by all of you're pictures, it looks like I'm arguing with a bunch of gapers. Anyways, I have read multiple studies stating that the adhesive between the foam and the lens is a carthinogenic compound which may cause a stigmatism. But I don't expect any of you gapers to know what that means :)

also, goggles do serve a purpose. for me, if i ski without goggles when it's cold my eyes water and i can't see features. snow in my eyes fucking hurts and is really cold. skis kick up now and ice if you're behind a fellow twin-tipper. your eyes get dry as fuck. i don't feel like squinting at rails when it's really sunny. i'm not trying to destroy my eyesight. goggle tans look funny.

you can ski without goggles. personally, i love my crowbars and i'm really not a gaper.

Not wearing goggles skiing is like having sex without a condom and trying not to get pregnant. Bad shits going to happen. And man before you tell everyone to fix there grahmer ficks you're owne.
 
i think ski pants are over rated. i ski without them i like the feelin of the wind blowing around my southern hemisphere
