I have the rossi 140's, and i keep breaking them. When i land switch really hard and with a bit to much forward pressure, my book pops out of the toe piece (the din is at like 8) then the brakes spring up and just snap right off. this has happened three times and each time i have had to buy a new 250$ binding because rossignol doesn't warranty stuff like that. i can't keep affording this! somebody give me a sweet solution! + does anyone else have this problem?

.

i had those bindings on my race kis back in the day. I had major problems with the brakes popping off. A tech finally fixed it by riveting it down or some shit, i can't remember. It's been awhile

my brake would pop out a ton when I landed switch so my solution was to put some adhesive where it connects together, it fixed it for me.

unless you really need it, i would recommend taking the break off. it isnt legal at any hills to ski without a break, but just make sure you ski doesnt take off on you. they are extra weight and they dont do much but stop the ski. and if your having this problem, it seems like a good solution

I had this problem and I ended up breaking my brakes by landing switch so I removed them and almost killed a couple ppl when the binding pre-released on me. I think I'm going to have do something about it.

pffff. brakes are overrated. screw brakes!!! lets just us leashes like snowbladers!!! and while were at it lets just use thoses death trap bindings!!! heard its like impossible to tear an acl or anything in those

ya i cracked my scratch bindings too by the brek from landing switch. mine are holding up all right, the brakes are just a little wobbly

dude, you can just buy new brakes... you don't need knew bindings. I have replaced 3 different brakes on my markers in the last 3 years, 15 bucks each. Juts don't fall landing switch. You can also usually put the brake back into place so they are kind of still good

theres an easy fix for this, the reason its doing it is because when u are landing siwtch, the brakes are catching the snow which rips them forward, this forces your heel to pop out and brakes the brake kit, it often happens when landing hard switch, at a slight off balance angle, or in a grove at the end of the rail thats been chewed out from people hitting it all day.

TO FIX THE PROBLEM: simply bend your brakes up at about 45 degrees, they wont catch the snow anymore, and yet they can still stop your skis, wah-lah

Hey buddy there is nothing wrong with your bindings. It's just a matter of you 'ripping' out your brakes or in other words breaking them. This happens to me all the time. You see when you are released while skiing fakie the brakes will pop up. But when the brakes pop up they are meant to 'bend' in one way...which is counter clockwise. So when you are released when skiing backwards the brakes pop up and 'bend' in a clockwise motion, this then exerts a lot of torque on the brake and pressure on the plastic/plate holding the brake. The brake therefore rips out off its place and should be replaced.

A replacement brake from Look should cost about 15 dollars and no it does not fall under warranty becuase it is 'consumer abuse.' I personally think that someone should invent a brake that rotates both counter clockwise and clockwise so that brakes don't rip out of its plate.

The lesson of the day don't buy a new set of bindings everytime you kill your brakes and try not to release when skiing fakie!

i have the same bindings i had problems on switch bindings and the brake on one got messed up a shop guy made some pin for me and i havent had a problem since

First off... don't buy the same bindings over and over. Than, make sure you have brakes. If your ski runs off you could lose it or kill someone. It sounds to me like you should just put the brakes in a vice and bend them up so that they can't catch on the snow. Than you still have brakes, you won't lose any equipment or hurt/kill anyone and you won't have anymore problems.

why the fuck would you buy the same binding more than once if it broke, try buying better bindings.

okay so this time that i broke it, i not only snapped the brake i also snapped the part in the heel piece it is connected to...so the binding does brake, not just the brake. i think the best solution to the problem is to crank up the din because this only happens when i am slightly off balance on a big switch landing and if the dins were higher the skis would stay on and no binding pop up. i'm suprised that not to many people have this problem though, what are your dins usually at, when this happened to me mine were at 5 or so, now i have them at 9

.

Ha, dont use brakes...Yeah so tbe next time you fall your skis are just gonna bomb it down the hill and into a forest(depending on where you ski). I don't really have any suggestions, excep keep your brakes, and don't use leashes. Good luck.

benbig97 idk what you're talkin bout but i got a brand new brake for free from rossi. it was covered under warentee.
