Does anyone else have massive 09 line chronic problems?

so my line chronics are massively delaminating WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

does anyone have this problem it started the first time had them fixed and then the second time i got like an estimated 3 inch gash

i got the same guy that fixed then and he said that they do that does anyone else have this or anything similar?

well lines gunna do something about it ill just shove them up their ass and go buy other skis

i have a company that said they would replace them but its not for them to replace them ill send them back but i want line to do something its not the dealer i bought them from its not their job

that was one crazy sentence you just laid down right there. We've got systems set up that have your back if something is wacky about your skis. Please bring them to the Line dealer you bought them from, it is their job to work with us to help you. All instructions are located here:http://lineskis.com/support on how to get some help. Skis up our ass doesn't help anyone now does it?

word

I got top sheet chiping on my chronics also, every ski chips here and there. Skis are ment to be skied and not just to be art in your room in the off season. Yeah the the top sheet chips but the bases are BOMB proff.

I have 09 chronics. If my topsheets weren't beat to hell kids would think I was a pussy skier. the more beat your top sheets are the more street cred you get.

line is my favorite ski brand. they have a super light swing weight and are fun as hell. who cares about durability issues ++++k to line!

It's funny one of my chrons is in mint condish and the other has had the topsheet fucking destroyed. I used to epoxy, but it's too much work and i don't really care anymore.

thanks for the love but we do in fact care about durability and are continuously working to make or skis better. Best way to do that is to beat the crap out of them and see whats up! We're always testing and tweaking and learning.

this is my main gash

skis.jpg

i have mini ones down both sides of boths skis

ive skied 3 times the big one started the 2nd time

That is definitely not delaminating...it's you kicking your feet together and the sharp edge of one ski cutting the top sheet of the other. Big difference.

Stop your bitching and go ride them.

ha i pay for skis i exspect them to last more than 2 times i go skiing and the guy were i ski said thats bull shit he would do the same thing

Did they all of a sudden stop fucking working?

Do the bases not slide anymore?

Grow up and quit being a pussy.

They're fine.

YOU cut the top sheet from hitting your skis together, it's not a manufacturing defect, so there is no reason for LINE to replace them.

It happens to every ski, if they wasn't your first pair ever you'd know that, and you'd also know that keeping them pretty doesn't help your skiing.

Now, like I said before:

Quit your bitching and go ride them.

well when my friends pay half of wat i pay for K2 and they dont do this i might have to go to K2 or salomons maybe i can get a ski that doesnt fall apart

and thats not the only one there r small ones up both sides of each ski so i dont think its really my fault and no it doesnt affect me skiing but i exspect to pay for a good ski and not get shit

and they look like shit i take care of my shit

There was no punctuation in that sentence, or paragraph, I'm not really sure which that was.

I have the 07-08 orange ones still, they have the same thing. Still lively and awesome too. Go peel an apple and you'll get the same thing, except it was you edge peeling your topsheet here. You can even see the swirly-ness associated with a peeling situation. Nothing's wrong, go back to skiing.

Which k2s by the way, if they're cap (silencers) then you may not see this.

they are K2 apaches

and i do still ski them but it pisses me off i ski them once it starts and the second time this happens and minis ones the whole way down thats just not cool ill by dynastars like old ones and hes been skiing for a long time hes never seen a ski do this and the guy at blue knob(were i ski alot) said that line does this alot other skis probably wouldnt do this hes the tech guy up thereand does all the work on boards and skis

sorry guy but this is normal wear from what i've experienced

if you're still real bummed maybe try some salomon threats or dumonts?

i do ride them but when i pay good money for skis i exspect them to be good my skates i bought haha company said they would replace them anytime i needed but HOLY FUCK i bought nice skates dont need to return them cause they arent shit but i guess line doesnt have the same views as them they told me anything i need if it would keep me buying their products and guess wat i will buy Roller Bladee skates anytime i need a new pair but this will probably be my last pair of line im goin to salomon or K2

you really need to start using punctuation. It so fucking hard to read what you write.

But your ski is fine, quit yo bitchen

^ I agree.

I dunno what the hell you're talking about rollerblades and shit for.

Basically, if you're going to throw a bitch-fit about that tiny scratch...then go buy another ski and see what happens. Line makes awesome stuff, very durable.

You're going to see that with any ski.

Quit whining.

love win i dont think i asked for a dick i think i asked if any else was having this problem so yea nu can just stop commenting on my shit.

and i think the guy that works on them for a living would no if its typical or not for that shit.

and theres ur punctuation stop ur bitching and get smart enough to separate sentences

How are you supposed to have fun skiing if you are counting every little ding, nick and gouge on your ski? My brother has K2's that are chipped to shit because he skis aggressive on them. My Anthems have been out on the snow 8 times, and sure they have some dings, but why? because I'M SKIING ON THEM. I see toooooo much hate on such a legit company, which has been awesome all the way back to their skiboard days.

Every ski does this when you try to progress. If you fall, you're probabaly going to end up doing this. All skis do it. If your friends have K2's that don't do it, that's because they're not riding them hard and falling.

That is minor compared to most skis. I have Line Anthems, and they're way more scratched than this. It's no defect of Line's. It's regular wear and tear.

It absolutely does not effect the performance of your skis.

Well then... The Answer is yes.

Everyone that skis is having this problem.

But we're all managing to get along alright, even when our skis get scratches on them.

yea but line doesnt understand and neither do u guys i turn my skis into Rei(were i bought them). Rei will stop carring line all together if they get enough complaints against them so id recommented they start doing something themselves

let me know how your next skis work out. i'd love to know if they don't have the same "delaming" problems (aka topsheet chipping)

why the fuck would you buy skis at REI? buy them from a legit ski shop or something. LINE wont care if REI in ur area stops carrying their skis. i rode my 08 chronics for a single day and i have worse scratches than urs. wen you buy a new car do you expect it to not get dirty? fine then keep it in the garage. buy skis and dnt want them scratched...hang them up on ur wall. ski on skis, they get scratches. go fucking ski

Last more than 2 times? You have MINOR aesthetic damage. It is in NO WAY WHATSOEVER going to affect that performance of the ski. As long as the bases, edges and sidewalls are okay, the ski will be fine.

You're obviously either new to this whole skiing thing, or have skied like a bitch in the past. Topsheet + sharp edges = chipping. It will happen with every single ski you buy, provided you use it for what it was made for.

By the time I got rid of my Suspects, because of edge blowout, a good 3/4 of an inch of the laminate had come off around the entire edge of the topsheet. Not a big deal

yea. yestarday i looked down at my 0809 chronics on the lift and saw that the topsheet like 20mm in had peeled up, i was like 3-4 inches long up the topsheet. i just cut it off and fiilled it with epoxy. the are good as new. im just going to file all of the edges.

i ski hard and am trying to get better in the park so i realize its going to happen. little scratches like that dont even matter. i pretty much have OCD so when i look down at my skis and see the misssing topsheet i get mad. it happens to every ski though. theres a gy at my mountain with volkl walls. his whole topsheet is soooo messed up. it looks like his tips are delaming, but he still kills it in the park. its really whatever.

plus. if you bought last years chronics from rei, you obviousky got the for $200 which is a steal for line chronics. stop bitchin and hating on line. such a legit company with some of the best skis in the market.

Definitely get the Salomon Suspect, they make them in shorter sizes like a 151 so that your 12 year-old ass can fit in them. They are by far one of the most durable skis out there too. I've NEVER seen any threads with fucked up Suspects on NS.

I bet you are the only one who has complained, they are not going to stop carrying them. And go ahead and support K2, you already are skiing on Line's. That is not delam. That is topsheet peeling. Stop your bitching. I should throw up a picture of my 08 chronics. In fact I will when I get back to school. You better not go off the bunny hill if you are worried about nicking your skis. If you are that worried about it, then peel the whole thing off and you won't have anythign to bitch about.
