i've only been registered here since 2002 but was a visitor even before then, and since harvey stepped down i think this place has changed for the worst. banners? what the fuck? redesign the message board? that was the best part of newschoolers, it was so unique from any other site. i really don't like this place anymore, but i guess not many people feel the same. or do they...?

i love newschoolers now, the new look of the forums. the only thing that could improve is the shittyness of some of the members but its still fun. just enjoy the site.

I dont think its changed for the worse in n e way. Words like functional, updated, fresh, convienent copme to mind but the word hate not one.

Ns needs to make changes to survive, i don;t see a fucking donation icon beside your name. so if your not paying for it, you can shut the fuck up bitch.

It's free, It's dope, and there making changes for the future, so newschoolers will be able to thrive. Now I have been here since the beginning, and sometimes change is good, and in this case it will be.

If you don;t like it then don;t come on here anymore it pretty simple.

Hate NS?! Nobody is making you come back to the site. We're sorry you don't like it anymore, but change is good. You can't avoid change forever. And, it's for the better anyways.

Look at it this way, at least now when you type in www.newschoolers.com you don't have to worry about "Page not found" because they are having site problems. Or go to look at videos and see "The videos have been temporarily taken offline, they will return April 1st."

thats 48 months, so divide by 2, thats 24, minus 2 thats 22 and at my current pace, multiply that by 1500 and you get after 4 years: 33000 posts... nice.

Banners? New Forum??

Dude, how many sites have you been to that haven't changed in 3 years??

Yah there were no banners before. But Harvey used to live in his parent's house, work almost 100 hours a week on Newschoolers and didn't ever see a dime.

People grow up, and Harvey couldn't possibly continue like that.

The banner ads now pay for the server cost (which doubles every year), and the new forums are far more efficient and don't kill the server.

You mention the new forums, but did you notice that the news page, park updates, event calendar, messaging system, the login page, search page and page border are all new?

Things are going to change.. that's inevitable. But we all try our best to make the site a free place for people to talk about free skiing, and that won't change.

Newschoolers is better now. I wasn't used to the new forums at first, but now they're looking good. if anything has gotten worse on ns, its the people.

ill admit i dont like a bunch of squabbling young new people, but its cool really, because that isnt too bad at all. the site is still the best there can be, and it has improved so much, from low key to the head of freeskiing. you cant hate ns, without it, you would be lost, there is no other

 
ok, ns did need fixing, the server cudnt take the load that the forums created

and when u think about it the forums are pretty much the same, the quote thing is out of the way and is easy to forget bout for those who hate it so much

it tells u who posted last in the thread = GOOD

it has go to next oage/previous page links at the top and bottom of each thrad = GOOD

it has a return to thread listing link at top and bottom of each page = GOOD

it doesnt put so much stress on the servers which means quicker acces to site and better performance in general = GOOD

its probs easier for paul to muk round with if he wants to change sumthing = GOOD

Admins no longer have to go thru a hole lot of shit to delete threads and posts = GOOD (ok maybe ur thinking, then why not just leave the threads alone and not delete anything, well wot about if sumthing illegal is posted, and i mean really illegal, not bullshit illegal with ripping movies and music and all that junk)

im still having truble thinking of any BAD points to put in this, put please, post ur bad points here, i wanna see them, please dont just say coz i have some personal grudge against a forum that is similar to the old one but slightly more functional and i like the old one better, dont whinge, no1 is forcing u to use this site, leave and give the server a tiny amount of extra performance for the rest of us

this is a !!! FREE !!! thing and also a great thing, go whinge sumwhere else please

i dont really like it as much as i used to either. before you would know everyone and everyone would be cool with eachother besides the funny ns assholes like mommy and alpentak (sp). now its just ruined with pointless alias's, some were good like halo, froggy, and emo whatever. but i love jennifer? thats just lame dude. there is just a new vibe set out here and i dont like it as much. and my original member number was 5054, so dont try telling me im new and shouldnt be saying this.
