Does anyone else go thorugh this when they get hurt?

i fractured my fibula and people guess that my injury was because of snowboarding, then i say no, i was skiing, and then the person replies o do u use those short skis? or snowblades? its mostly the soccer moms that piss me off.
 
yeah i used to really try and explain it to ppl and try and get them into it. but now i just let it go and accept most ppl will never understand. its better that way
 
I am the saw way, Dish. I used to try to make it sound great so they will say "ohhhh, you were doing that??" But now I just don't care. All my students ask me what I did. WHen I telling them I was skiing they are like "oh..." with a look like "that is weak sauce" on their face. I hate it
 
wen i broke my arm thats what they said, and wen i told them i was skiing, they were like, oh.... how? did you run into a tree wen you were racing and have both of your skis fall off?
 
i carry an issue of ski time or something in my binder at school so when i wear my I am a Skier shirt and people are like wtf.. i can just show them what its about
 
Yea it sucks being the only freeskiier in my school, I get so much shit...people are like "you ski? what a fag." It pisses me off but theres really nothing you can do but show them up in the park.
 
my bio teacher was like howd u break ur arm, and i was like i fell skiing. and she said, o, did u hit a tree, and i was like, no i cased it on a jump, so she asked me if i use the litle short skis, and i said i used 170's and she was like so u were hotdoggin it on those, and i was about to throw my microscope at her cuz its those kinda people that make freeskiirs look bad.
 
the same exact thing happen to me when I tore my acl. I could give a fuck what people think though because I know I'll shit on them at the mountain. the xgames do expose newschool a little more each year though, so some people know whats up
 
but its only mostly boarders and skiers who watch the x games, not those people who have never seen newschool skiing. it needs to get into the olympics for people to recognize our sport
 
nah the nurse called my mom from the emergency room and told her i got broke off snowboarding and my mom was like

" oh dont let him here you say that he will be pissed, he is a skier "
 
when i had a concussion i believed i was a snowboarder cause they told me that.....and they pulled the snowboarding shit when my shoulder was dislocated and i was in soo much pain i didnt have patients and was yelling at them
