Ok, i bought these things at the begining of the season, and i loved them. well, about midway through the season, i decided to bust out my old blue 1260s, and was amazed. iwas ridding so much better with them compared to the tms. They just feel so dead and heavy. Does anyone else feel the same way? i am definatly replacing these suckers with som 05 Mike Nicks or Skogans.

my TMs were awesome when they were new... but they went dead really quick... they lost all their pop after about 3 weeks of riding. shitty.

i didn't come here with pants, and i'm not leaving with pants

that exact same thing happened with my old 1260s and the scratches i rode last year, i got thr skogens and they are way better than the scratches, line is just the best.

Chronics, Bitch!

yeah, when i first got them, i was bustin like twice as high out of the Qp than you think you would, but now they wont even ollie (my 3 year old, beat to shit 1260s will still pop 2+ ft in the air with almost no effort. the Tms fell slugish on and off rails (not to mention they are way off balance), and they are more beat up after 3 months of ridding than the 1260s. what i will give them is they have a very durable and fast base/edges.

you guys are crazy. i love my tm's to death, always will

and how do you figure they feel dead? they opo like crazy mofos

well, it the way the ski is built. because it is a horizontal laminate compared to a vertical laminate (most skis) there is alot more epoxy used. this makes them heavy. and for pop, in a V lam core, the flexing of the wood is what gives you pop, the glue joints are just there because its hard to find perfect chunks of wood that size. in a Horizontal lam, the pop factor is achieved by the stretching of the glue joints. well, after a while, the epxoy breaks in and the nice tight glue joint gets softer and stretches easier, making the ski loose all its snap.

i love my TM's but ill admit their nowhere close to as stiff as when i frist got them

but all skis break down pretty quick

in terms of everything else their awesome

I'm still happy with mine. Are you sure that the construction is that different, how do you know? That would be the complete opposite of a traditional wood core ski. not saying you are wrong just wondering

People that love them will probably havn't ski'd any other skis before and don't know that some skis wear down and lose their pop quicker than others and until they figure that out..

From what Ive seen, the edges crack and fall out pretty easily, but thats just on a few pairs

ur all stupid. if anything they are easier to pop now that mine are broken in. do any of you really know how to ollie a ski? im guessing no. the pop from the ski comes from the tail.

of course ur 1260s are gonna be easier to manuver than the tms. they weigh less. and the tm is far from a heavy twin tip its one of the lightest. and is the lightest if u forget about lines skis.

and whoever said they were off balance is an idiot. maybe its you who is off balance fool. yup ive had mine since the beginning of the year and they ski the same if not better and i ski every day. niggers

there's a reason its called snowboarding......it's snowing!!!

nice racist comment at the end of that rant, you obviously uneducated fool. Nothing defends a ski company like thoughts of idiots running around in white ghost costumes burning crosses and killing people of african descent.

Fuck, i am tired of these posts. People are always arguing about the quality of a ski, and its construction. pretty much all skis are is your personal opinion, whether you like em stiff or soft its allpersonal preference. i have TM's and they fellapart pretty easily. the edges an both skis are no more, in fact i am sliding on my sidewalls and core. and the lil metal pieces on the tip and tail are falling off, but i loves these skis. i tihnk that sum skis of the same model are good and sum are bad... like, you can get a shoddy pair of TMs and yer buddy can get a great pair that are durable. not all skis are the exact same, even if these are the same model and stuff.. just my opinion.

the phil's pro models are pretty much the same as the TM right? cuz i was thinking about checking those out but was worried about the durability issues with the TM.

the only people who can complain about people saying the word 'nigger' are black people, and not to totally profile all of skiers, but i think that there is probably only ONE black person who is on this site, and i only know of ONE black newschool skier (Nicky Roberts or is it dicky?) so all of you shut up about it (unless your black)

The only thing I don't like is how after your edges fall out, you sidewall starts to rip off.

-JMAN- High North Session 2

zach broke 2 or 3 pairs this year... kinda makes you think 'not durrable' looks like most people are not happy with the TM's. but the problem sidewall falling out prob is solved with the caped design of the phil's model. but really i would rather get a ski that is going to hold up to ridding for a few years atleast instead of only ONE season not ever a full year.

.:l[Tyler]l:.

all i hear is 'i broke my skis, they lost their pop in 3 weeks' about every ski on here. You guys are full of shit, you probably suck at riding, and you need to stop bitching.

Dont forget your snorkle ~ Bridger Bowl

because my TM's went dead faster than any other twin i've owned = i suck at skiing? i fail to see your logic. i'm not compaining about a cracked edge or a topsheet scratch... i'm talking about how the performance of the ski actually went from amazing to blah in about 3 weeks of riding every day.

i cant imagine how you guys fell that happened. the only time the edges have a problem is on rails, and if youre smooth on rails it wont happen. i do TONS of rails and mine are fine. and the def don't lose their pop, they pop like a fuckin snowboard

maybe the pop is just because you cant handle a stiffer ski, ever think about that.

my tms are fucking beautiful, i love them.. the edges have a couple cracks but ive been taking the rails damn hard this year. I am gonna hve to say they are a sick ski

this was the first year they were out right.... every new car , ski, tv, anything has some problems in the first year of production. you can't expect a new design to be bomb-proof the first year, thats all.
