fucking pets. they're pointless and it pains me when people put as much time and effort into them as they would their children.

you definitely think the right way. I've been bit a few times by dogs and every single time the owner makes up some excuse about the dog being young or that it just doesn't know any better. If it doesn't know any better it's not fit to be around humans so either keep it at home or put it down. what happens when it "doesn't know any better" around your 6 month old baby.
the most infuriating time was when I was biking and a dog chased after me and started biting my foot. I gave it a good hard kick in the face that made it go running. then the owner starts yelling at ME. holly fuck I almost punched him. and the dog tore my shoe up. in cases like that the owner should be charged with assault with a weapon. and both of them should probably be put down.

Ya for sure that is bullshit. The reason I'd put the dog doen for biting is because that is also the only way to tell if it has rabies. So if the dog isn't put down, the victim has to get painful ass rabies shots.
When I was 12 my neighbor's husky bit me when I was watching it and it bit all the way through my hand and wouldn't let go. So I pulled it's choke chain and gave it a few solid kicks to the ribs. Well those kicks broke it's ribs and luckily the people were understanding and not mad. But they refused to put it down so I had to get those shots. The worst part is that they went to the vet and paid thousands to get treatment for the ribs instead of putting it down just to have the dog die less than a year later.
