Ive been skiing ever since i could walk and i can throw down tons of tricks and im only 13. So if anyone knows how to get sponsered i would really appreciate it if u could tell me how?
soxs shut the fuck up, just b/c your not good enough to get sponsored don't bring others down. And to get sponsered you gotta get noticed, win comps, make a demo tape and mail it out to every ski company there is.
smuggs - 'Shut up Phrosty'
Dspin7x - 'phrosty youre just a fucking idiot'
c_lo - 'Alright, Phrosty is a homo but I'm going to have to agree with him on the poser issue here.'
powskier1080 - 'All your signature sums up is how big a fuckup you are.'
googoo271 - 'Oh of course we get a post from our good ignorant assfuck, phrosty'
i know i'm not good enough to a sponsor....but why do people make it the reason they ski now. i thought we did this because it was fun, not to get recognition for how well we ski.
phrosty dude.. soxripper is a chick... did you relaize this? shes out there competeing and throwin tricks.. by the end of the season we're gonan put a video up for her to get sponsors
A lot of people want to get sponsored because they dream of getting that free equipment and possibly seeing themselves in Ads for the company or in magazines. For me, I'd just want free equipment so if something breaks I don't have to go out and buy something new all the time.

i'm just jealous of your sexiness, sorry
Skierdood86 says:
you shouldnt be jealous, you too can be like me one day
always the people with 1 post asking haha... just hit up some big comps and do your best. if u figure you're that good then put in the time and money to winning.
Actaully, I am with soxripper. Just go out and ski. If you are good enough, you will be noticed and things will fall into place. A lot with being sponsored has to do with being in the right place at the right time.
actually i wouldn't mind free shit either, but did i say i was going to get myself sponsored...no...that's his doing. if i get one then cool, but i'm not going to push for one. i'm just going to do what i do now...ride and try to progress as much as i can. if others wanna film me and do stuff with that then cool. the reason i enter comps is because i hate being on the sidelines watching while all of my friends are having a good time.
sox is right, just go out there and don't throw bigger stuff to go get free stuff. Do it for your own personal enjoyment, or if not that for the sake of competition if anything. But if anything don't worry too much about getting sponsered just go and ski. Enjoy
get really really thick knee pads..less bruises on your knees from 'getting sponsored' will make it a bit easier for you to ski.
'When I'm mad as fuck you get shot and to some it's bad luck, I believe you held something back for too long, it grew strong and energy got its own will, and people think that we make music still, but music is there without you or me we just minipulate for better or worse so let it situate.'
i say dont push too hard to get sponsored, its not great fun. if u need equiptment u cant afford (like me in debt) u might wanna try harder, but skiing is a fun sport, so never forget that.
kid who started this post.. The question is.. what can you do for your sponsor? They are not just going to toss money at any kid that can thrown a 360/720/ or backflip.
i ski for me...but i really need to get sponsored because i cant afford equipment...i got a new pair of skis at the beginning of this season and I have completely destroyed them throwin down new tricks.
yea I think someone said this, but you gotta tell the sponsor how your gonna help them, tell them how your gonna make them more money, i.e- your an instructor at a big mtn and all these rich kids love you and want to buy anything you ride.. or your really good and people will buy the skis you ride cos they think it makes you better.. you have to have a definite style...
'Don't like hesh - Don't like rap - kicked ol' sally cos she fat - I'm a jerk I'm a punk took a shower cos I stunk - smoked a bong killed a cat - had my nuts attacked by rats dad got nude - I wore a thong - for a hobby I make bombs' Tom DeLounge
yo...talking to people that actually are sponsered say it sucks...yeah, you get free gear, whenever line or Salomon or whomever decides to give it to you....its cool....but it has its downsides
'cuz there are so many crappy little kids, old people, and everything in between that go through the 'experts only' park, and point at the jumps only to yell 'wow, thats a neet bump' while paruzing over em at -2mph...i hate people'
ya first off how in anyway could getting sponcored not be a good thing... free shit and skis
but heres my advice to you, you could get sponcored by a company by sendign them a video but in my opinon going out making a name for yourselft. that would be more impresive and in the end you will probly accomplish more things in your skiing carrier.
sponsors are fucking gay. you have to do shit that you dont want to do. they can make promises they wont keep and fuck you over for equipement. They dont give a flying fuck about the athletes they only care about money. so fuck sponsors fuck you and FUCK HEAD
She's not a man. And yes, in fact, I do know how to get sponsored. Suck as much dick as you can for the ski companies' reps, and they'll put in a good word for you. How do you think I got sponsored by Trojan?
wtf did i ever say i wouldn't like to be a pro. of course i would love to be a pro, who wouldn't mind being getting paid to travel all over the world for free and get more free gear then you know what to do with. but that isn't the point i was making when i posted stupid. i just think that too many people are focusing on the wrong aspect of skiing. the kid that started this thread is only what 12 or 13. no offense but i doubt he's got skill like chris booth so just chill a few years and keep enjoying skiing. you'll develop more skill and they may come to you, don't just focus you're skiing on trying to gt sponsored though, you may end up turning into a park rat. remember it's supposed to be fun, and even wiener said it....you may end up in a position that makes the skiing no longer fun. for me skiing does and should always = FUN!!!
In memory of Darren Gallup: Do you realize/ that everyone you know some day will die?/ But instead of saying all of your goodbyes/ let them know you realize that life moves fast/ it's hard to make the good things last.
Yeah, first of all, u said ure only 13, so that pretty much means you can't throw down everything. And 2nd, i saw a guy that could do a corked out 10, and get turned down by rossi, salomon, and line. Because you can huck dont mean shit, you gotta learn how to do things with more style, and style only comes with more experience.
