nice one k2. why does everyone care so much about tanner? i mean yea hes a sick skier and everything but there are alot of guys out there that are as good as he is or better and push the sport more but dont do the whole ganster 'im the shit' act.

because tanner is probuly the sickest skier out right now minus the injury he kill big air slopestyle halfpipe rails urban rail and he hits chads gap with a switch cork 9 and he has steeze what else needs to be said nothing if you dont like him you still have to respect his skill

 
tanner is good, i'm sorry he is hurt, but he'll still have all kinds of footage. he got injured fairly late in the season.

cause tanner is fucking rediculous. To not be upset that a steezy, progressive skier with a good attitude who throws down every year and seems to be throwing down harder than ever and harder than everyone this year is not gonna have a full season to show us what he's got is just not cool.

I was up in Grizzly Gulch the weekend after tanner wrecked himself. Alta Ski Patrol brought a cat up there and smoothed out the jump and practically filled in the gap. the inrun is still there, but the gap is ruined for the year. The landing was also blown up by the ski patrol so no one can hit it again this year. I have some pictures of the gap now and the inrun and will have some of the landing all blown up. Let me know if interested.

Just for the record, 1 cat was used to take the jump down after 12 pounds of TNT did nothing to it. The landing is fine, it was dug up and salted to prevent anyone eles from hitting and getting hurt on chads. With the new snow here it is probably fine now. Tanner recovery continues to go well and he still plans on skiing this summer. If you do plan on hitting Chads be smart and good luck.

 
does alta even own the land where chads is? i thought it was in a gulley near alta not on alta's property

Alta leases Alta ski resort as well as Grizzly Gulch from the Forest Service. They lease the gulch because they run a cat service in there. Therefore, Alta technically does own the Gulch in the winter and can shut it down to skiers other than their cat ski clients if they wanted. This would most likely not happen however. People have gotten hurt in the Gulch for years, ever since the gaps were found. However, Tanner was the first big name to get hurt thats why its such a big deal. Therefore, plan on chads being hit (as well as pyramid) in the years to come.
