Do you mean "we" as white people or "we" as Americans? Because I think the current state of Africa is much more the fault of a handful of European powers.

uh dude, the values black culture places on material goods and frivolity is what causes black people to still suffer in the ghettos. They do it to themselves by choosing to drop out of school, having a lackadaisical regarding parental obligations, and by choosing to idolize a culture based upon crime, greed, and violence.

Also, us whites dont have to apologize for shit, Africans themselves caused slavery when the first tribal leader sold a captured rival tribe's warriors to spanish and english merchants.

The southern states had every right to secede after being unfairly taxed and due to the growing cultural disparity between the rural south and industrial north. Regardless the north was as bound to slavery as the south, because the cotton picked by slaves was being taken up north to fuel the profitable mills in New England.

i know i dont. and i think america doesn't either. maybe england, since once we became free the north fought the south, so slaves weren't allowed. so i say england, and the conveteret. but it was a really long time ago....
 
k here's the problem that i have with apologizing right now. OUR GENERATION DIDNT FUCKING DO IT TO THEM so why should we be forced to apologize. Should blacks have to apologize for stuff that they did 50 years ago when they werent alive? no. It was a terrible thing that happened back then but its not our generations fault, we've accepted that what heppened then was bad and we need to move forward.

So just because about 1/1 000 000 black people have gained celebrity and wealth, while a much larger percentage of them live below the poverty line due to generations of oppression. That justifies slavery, makes up for it all. You are a racist tool.

goooooood christ really? I'm sure there would still be black people here today if there weren't any slaves. We didn't enslave numerous populations to force them here, they came on a boat. Racism is still around, apologizing wont do anything. I doubt racism will ever go away, people in the ghetto are pigeon holed to start with. Even if they do good in school you think a college is looking for someone who came from some dirty ghetto? An Education is worthless if there is nothing to do with it after school.

Actually if we're talking about the first civilization to use black slaves you'd have to look back to the Egyptians. Lots of Nubian (current day Sudan) slaves were captured and used by the ancient Egyptians. And the Portuguese were the main initiators of the African slave trade in Europe.
