i need ideas for a documentary or narrative film

i have to write a 200 word summary of an idea (more leaning towards documentary) for a submission to a film program for university

i already have alot of my good ideas, i just want to see what other people are thinking
and i wouldnt use someone's idea exactly, but rather build off it.
+K for help.
 
Assuming you live in Canada you could do a documentary on what it means to be Canadian. Idk if it's been done before but that was my english final essay question so its on my mind

i have relevant information, pertaining a death that happened during a rugby game near me that would be great
all the different news stations had different things to say, that it was gang related, there was weapons, etc.

they want you to pick something that relates to you in some way. There not gunna be like oh thats a profitable idea, that could be an interesting documentary to watch that would make a lot of money.

I would think of something that relates to you and projects well. Like maybe you've done some charity work or travelled somewhere or met someone and you can talk about your experience and talk about how it would be cool to document a type of thing you've witnessed.

I understand its film school, but pick something interesting but from a personal experience that relates to you.

and don't pick something that reflects badly on you in any way - like don't pick skateboarding or they are gunna be like oh we don't want a skateboard punk here, etc.
 
i don't know what your exact task was; but if i had to make some edit or movie right now, i'd start of with the motto: Hakuna Matata, no worries
and start of by depicting a lifestyle where one lives completely free of worries or rules...the theme is quite universal but you can go your own way with it and other people will identify themselves with it and feel like: Owww yeah; living the life, free of worries !
I think the whole project would be very sweet to work out...

i dunno if it helped you in anyway, it just came to my mind....
