alright im sure this has been asked before . but i have a doc appt this week for an m.r.i on my shoulder and a follow up the next day i was wonder if its safe to blaze up and hit the bong b4 that. is there anyway a normal blood test will show if theres weed in my system?

thank you for your time. it is greatly appreciated

it may depend on why you are geting the MRI for. im assuming its ligiments/ tendons if your getting a shoulder done. MRI creates images by using magnets making multiple slpice images of an area of your body. i dont believe if you smoke it will cause u any harm. but when u get one done u have to lay still for like 30 min. so you should be fine but seriously cant you go a day without it

Don't listen to them. You'll be fine smoking before your MRI. I've had too many and am quite experienced with them, although mine have always been on my knees. But smoking will affect nothing with the MRI. They could give you one with contrast which is just some dye in your bloodstream.

I know how stressful MRI's can be for your first time. You're cold, uncomfortable, and nervous. You can't move and most of the time you are watching a crappy movie or listening to the radio. It can get very claustrophobic (sp??) if you are like that and can actually be a little scary because you don't know if the prognosis is gonna be positive or negative. I've personally never blazed before any of mine but if you think it'll make the process a little more bearable or even fun then go for it! I'd just reccomend not getting too high because it is a hospital or doctor's office and they can probably detect somethings up. All the best.

i dont mean right before the M.R.I i mean like if i smoke this weekend their not going to be able to see i have weed in my system in like the follow up i have the next day

Well that just kills my rant doesn't it? haha. But from my experiences you don't even get a blood test for an MRI. I never have at least. If you're over 18 then it doesn't matter either way becaue the doctors can't tell anyone.

oh and if you have any metal in your body you cant have one...

if i had one my arm would get ripped off by the magnets
