cuz no matter how shitty your day is goin or no matter how depressed you are, a few hours out on the mt will completely turn your attitude around and your outlook on life will be so positive.

skiing is so relaxing and challanging at the same time, i dont know what id do without skiing...

and skiing is becoming more and more fun the more experianced i get and the more mature i get and realize that its all bout havin fun. and now i love talkin to gapers and little famlies from texas and just seein how happy they are to just be there and see snow. sure it gets annoyin sometimes hearing "can you backflip?" or other questions like that, but now i realize that these kids are only lookin up at us in awe and wishin they were that good and so thier questions seem to be a device that they use to get attention from us. and who knows... some little skier in ski school that we talk to or give him advice might go home with the biggest smile on his face and tell his parents what a great guy/girl he met on the slopes and how much he encouraged me.

thats all. i just felt like i needed to share haha

so yea, go give a gaper a high-five, go throw confetti in the air, go live life & love skiing.

yea perhaps...

i wasnt really thinkin too much about where i posted it. i just thought i should get it down before i forgot or whatever...

mods feel free to move it if ya want

For sure, its good to see a nice chill post like this specially with all the arugments and such going on in the threads about politics ++ karma for such a chill post

Old, thread but man, i believe in everything you say. i like this bump.
+K for you. im just so happy to read this, i cant wait to get back on my drug.

same, wish i had the same out look on gappers as you, but after reading this i can hopefully change that haha

sounds exactly like smoking weed.

no matter how shitty or stressful your day might be, a couple tokes later and i have a smile on my face i couldnt even surgically remove; and i will probably be singing (badly) to a sick reggae song.

only thing better than that is skiing while your high =D

well you see not everyone shares the same love for skiing as everyone in this thread, so telling someone with depression to go to learn to ski could probably lead to serious frustration and increase there depression. Also exposing anyone who is any sort of sick to the cold conditions associated with skiing is really a bad idea.

skiing is the only way to end a rough week. go out on a sunday afternoon, make some turns through the fresh, forget all your problems. what a drug. good bump man.

I was thinking this the other day. Why hate on someone who isn't as good as some of us, all they want to do is get better. We all started out as that annoying little kid that asked dumb questions, don't forget that.

awesome thread... helping out gapers is definitely one of the best parts of skiing. hopefully the kids you help remember you when it's their time to interact with less accomplished riders. I know when I started there were some older dudes that were way stoked to help me out & I always appreciated that, since I expected them to be assholes.
