Doctor NS, I almost fairly certain I might possibly need your assistance.

So I stabbed myself really fucking hard in the finger, specifically on the side on the knuckle on the index finger, and it hit the bone fairly solidly, It's been a day now and it feels swollen, numb and slightly bruised, shall I just dip it in antiseptic? Or should I expect my body to preform a miracle and let it heal by its self.

Much obliged.

And I forgot to mention the main point, might i have some metal induced infection, for example, tetanus?

Yeah if you think you actually nicked the bone, you need to get on antibiotics to prevent an infection. Also, if the surronding tissue is super red and puffy, you've got issues.

well what did you stab yourself with? a clean kitchen knife or a rusty nail you pulled out of a bum's asshole?

fellow canadian here telling you to go to the hospital because its free and you have nothing to loose.

update, its not super red and puffy but bone was hit, I was using a small pocket knife

Just feels kinda stiff and numbish.

One time when I was 5 me and my sister wanted to share a piece of bubble gum. We only had one piece, it was a relatively hard piece of hubba bubba, so me being 5 thinking I was a wizard decided to cut it. I got the cutting board out and a nice sharp steak knife while my 12 y/o sister waited upstairs. I set out to cut, when suddenly the blade slipped on the rockhard gum, sliding to the side and stabbing me in my little baby hand. It was a good 1/2 cm in, so i did what any small child would. Screamed and bled. The End.

Oops.

To ensure a speedy response, I didn't read your post at first. I wrongly assumed that you're girlfriend was pregnant. I tracked down your girlfriend.(not 100% sure if the right person) and commenced the coat hanger thrust. She insisted she wasn't pregnant but I couldn't let her lies ruin you. So I kept going and going, and well fuck. We have a body on our hands.

You might want to make another thread because I don't deal in this kind of shit and well, basically this is all your fault.

How could you?!?!?

Good luck and everything, I hope it works out

-Sincerely your caring anonymous friend from the intrwawebz

put hydrogen peroxide, then neosporin and dress it properly, make sure to keep changing the dressing and every time your do put more neosporin on it. If it hurts really bad, boof some percocet.

this, if the hydrogen peroxide fizzes, that means you have an infection. if it doesnt take care of it after 2 treatments, you need an antibiotic

you botched it! get some trash to stop the bleading.

if anyone knows what im talking about i'll be your best friend

Hahaha I don't know why, but I lol'd. OP... why don't you just go see someone? I'm sure you'll be fine, regardless. Just keep it clean, put a gentle antiseptic cream on it (not Neosporin, that's for surface cuts), and keep it covered up (change the bandaid a few times per day). It sounds like a pretty deep cut, so I would see a doctor.
