Do zombies poop?

I'm pretty sure zombies have strong acids in their stomachs that breakdown flesh into a toxic gas which exudes from their pores.
 
i was talking about emitting toxic gas, not pooping, see smokers/tanks(or whatever the huge fat ones are called) in left for dead
 
Everything would probably just fall right through them, so I guess it could loosely be consider pooping. Unless they have a big hole in their stomach, then it'd fall through there..
 
I guess their internal organs would still be intact, so I'm assuming they could still digest a tasty piece of flesh and therefore have the digested flesh pass through their bowels and it would be poop. Worst case Ontario, they find no human flesh, so no poop :(
 
didnt you know, left for dead is a historically accurate recounting of the less-well-known plague of the 1980s. its about as real as it gets
 
No. Zombies don't have assholes and therefore are incapable of pooping. Why do you think they walk the way they do, moan all the time and are always in a foul mood?
 
i thought it was due to sexual frustration because they cant have sex because they dont have working dirty bits anymore
 
Neil Degrasse Tyson did a two-part Star Talk on Zombies that was pretty interesting. Worth the podcast download for sure. Learned a lot about real viruses and outbreaks, both past and present.
 
no they dont, their bodies are in a hyper active state and they burn energy extremely fast and without discretion. all the food they eat turns into fuel and non is left as waste

after some research, there are a few different approaches. and the definition of 'zombie' varies.

For starters zombies, like any other thing that causes itself to move, need energy. and so if they dont have a functioning digestive system they would eventually run out of energy. this is the second law of thermodynamics or something.

the marvel explanation of zombies is that they become super efficient and dont need nearly as much energy as people do, so they can live on whatever energy stores they had before their digestive system shut down / was eaten/ fell out/ whatever.

the hyper fast zombies i was thinking of came from some movie i saw, but i cant remember which. theyre the world war z / i am legend zombies (which ive learned are very different). The I am legend zombies are apparantly more of a vampire variation, and the world war z zombies have that fast change and super aggresive zombie style. 28 days later is the same. My impression was that they are super aggresive because all of their bodily functions have been turned way up, so they need more food and burn it off, which would lead to a possible conclusion that they do not have any waste left to poop.

so if you want to believe that walking dead / new definiton of zombies can voilate the laws of physics then fine, but then you may as well resort to the oldschool idea of zombies which is that they were magical like mummys and vampires and could just move around however the fuck they wanted to.
