Do your parents pay for your gear

they will pay for part of it, like i buy the skis they get the bindings, but now i just am going to switch my pivot bindings next time i get new skis

the last time they paid for my skis was 2004.. but they paid for my coat (x-mass) present.

Parents pay for pass, hotels, food. I have bought all of my own stuff for bout 7 years now. the way i see it is they are going to loan me money for university so i dont get into debt, i just pay them back when i can. i don't buy much anyways, i use skis for atleast 5 years, same with mt bikes, cloths, ext.

i pay for my own shit...but the only really nice stuff i have are my boots (spk's) and skis (watch life's)

i crochet hats, so i get up to 600$ per winter....my coat is an oakley one that was 100$, my mom helped me out with 20$ on that one. otherwise everything i bought myself. including oakley link pants for 20$.

my parents will pay for most of my snowboard stuff, ut they usually tag it as christmas presents even if i get it in like july. i cant complain though

my family owns a ski shop, so i get skis/poles/boots for free and my dad only sells atomics. if i wanted something besides atomic, i need to buy it myself. its a really good deal

everything else i have to pay for on my own, softgoods, helmet, goggles, etc.

if i keep my grade average above a 4.0 i get a free pass from the school.

my dad is real into skiing so he will usually buy me what i need. But when i want something that i dont really need, such as an extra pair of skis or a new jacket something like that. Then i have to pay

no, but i wouldnt be skiing withour them. like season passes rides to the mountains/ lending me cars, paying for competitions. paying for wateramps and stuff. pretty much all i do pay for is my gear. and they bought me skis until i was 10 and then paid half till i was 13.

its alot easier for kids whos parents ski i guess.

my parent dont pay for any of my stuff, except for my helmet, cause i told them that i just didnt have the money for it and they would prefer that i dont die.

This year my parents made me a deal if I get higher than a certain grade, they would pay for my whole setup. I got my setup and as soon as ski season started my marks plummeted and they threatened to take my whole setup away.

my parents buy it all. they're really supportive of skiing, and the fact that hundreds of thousands are spent on my sister's horse riding makes what they spend on my skiing seem like a joke.

yea I can convince my rents to pay for a helmet cuz that's for safety and they really want me to ride with one. if I ever am really stuck and need somethin asap and dont have the cash they'll front me for it, but sadly I'm no longer completely spancerized by my rents. those were the good ol' days.

sadly no. once i got a job they washed their hands of buying me stuff. going to college doesn't help either.

I like to think I pay for most of my stuff, but between christmas, birthdays, and "deals" we make (ex. they bought my old skis from me), they end up paying for a lot of it. They got me my boots and my ipod for christmas, put $150 towards my new skis/bindings (they bought my old skis), and they got me a season pass for my birthday. I did pay for my goggles and my car, and I pay for all the gas to get me to the hill (90 miles roundtrip and my car gets 20mpg if I'm lucky). Next year I'm pretty much on my own though, since they'll be paying for my college.
