i search barred it and i didn't find much on this topic but if it is a repost, live with it

if you don't wear a helmet, just simply, why not

they protect your life. i know this is ns but if Kevin Pearce wasn't wearing a helmet he would've died. i saw him a few weeks ago a hood. even though I'm a skier, I'm stoked he's riding.

Personal preference, that's all it boils down to. But now everyone's gonna fight about it.

i wear one, i figure that everyone who slams their head hard enough do damage without a helmet on would probably wish they were wearing a helmet.

No one learning to walk again is thinking fuck , if i could do it all over again ... i wouldn't change a thing because i looked thug as hell.

i've hit my head really, really hard twice this past winter, probably wouldn't have been a good time if i didn't have a helmet on. Last fall ended up busting the helmet almost in half. :/

Holy shit, new iPod background material.

Yes, I wear a helmet when riding park. Small backyard rails, not anymore.

I can't ski without a helmet anymore. I've become so dependent on a helmet. Not because of my skiing ability, but because of all of the other idiots on the slopes.

Someone I know died after hitting his head riding urban. It wasn't that hard of a fall and he even kept on with the session. So yeah, I'll always wear a helmet now.

I wear one, in my opinion if you hit your head without a helmet hard enough death, with a helmet possibly a broken helmet and a concussion

Yes. Id rather look retarded (helmets can still look steezy) and take a hard slam and be able to get back up and ski some more

In the backyard, or sessioning a really mellow rail, nope, I don't wear one. Theres no real way you could get seriously hurt in this type of situation (other than some type of freak accident of course).

But if I ever get on the hill, I ALWAYS wear a helmet. Too many risks; features, trees, ice, other skiers. Not worth it to look "steezier".

Yeah I do always. Except for spring laps just dicking around. Bottom line, If im doing tricks, yes, if its spring and im doing 3's and tranny finders, no.

yes, it's dumb not to. Had a customer lose his daughter last year while skiing. She wasn't going fast was just cruising with some friends and hit a pole and it was enough to kill her. It doesn't matter how they look, they're there for one job, and that's to protect your most important organ.

Some people will find helmets look stupid but if you know someone with a brain injury, you'll strap it on no matter what. Trust me. It kinda annoys me when people don't wear a helmet, I mean shit, there are certain people NS who should be wearing helmets DAILY

I really should but I don't. I sometimes wear it in the park but never on the rest of the mtn, when I have a greater chance of gettin messed up

Almost always have my helmet on when skiing, taken to many falls that could have ended way worse without my helmet to even think of riding without one.

ditch that helmet bro, there's a reason why second hand stores cant sell cracked/dented helmets, any helmet with cracks or dents isn't safe anymore... it compromises the entire structure of the helmet, that's almost worse than not wearing a helmet actually, because you have the false sense of security! just thought I'd give you a heads up!

What if you tripped off a curb and slammed the back of your head? Better wear your helmet when you're walking to school there buddy.

Yes and no. I wear them when I feel like trying new tricks/riding hard. When I'm just gonna be cruising all mellow-like, then no.

other people are unpredictable idiots, i fall a bunch and if im out im usually progressing and trying to push myself so always a yes. mine is a skate helmet so its light and im so used to it, now its just instinctive to go for it when i go out skiing. didnt wear my helmet when i was rollerblading at my local skatepark but at the bigger ones always, once again too many people and bigger features.

likelihood of slamming your head into a metal bar is exponentially increased when your jibbing in your back yard or some mellow park rail buddy
