Do you sit on your poles?

I personally don't because it's awkward getting off of the lift, but I know lots of people who do. I know I should cause it's the best way not to bend my poles, but I cant develop the habit.

what about you ns?

i don't understand how sitting on poles is the best way to not bend them. it sounds pretty painful too.

I do, just an old habit from my racing days. I do it automatically, don't even think about it. It's very comfortable if you position them right.

Worded ambiguously on purpose.

I always keep my hands on my poles. Why the hell would you sit on them? That takes more effort.

This thread is just dirty

Definitely, if you need to free up your hands to do something else like eating a cookie or putting cream on your shnoz.

Others might just like the sensation of something under their leg.

I do it 80% of the time. I always get them out before I get off the lift though, not as I get off the lift.

I always keep them in my hands with the straps on in case I drop them. I like breaking the ice that gets stuck to the lift with my grips

Just get rid of them altogether. They're a relic of a bigone era.

You can get Z-Poles for your backpack if you're trekking and need them for mountain access.

lol. I find the real dilemma is where to put the gloves. Under the other leg, armpit, on lap or give to person next to you. This really does my head my in. I find armpit is the most stylistic but is restrictive, while attaching to jacket and letting flop around in the wind would be most hipster.

Yep, either that or I jam them in the crack where the back rest meets the butt pad. It's tight enough in our bubble chair that it holds them, and then I can get into bubble trubble

Yup, grips forward. If it's really really warm I'll take my helmet off, strap it to the bar, and put my gloves in there.
