Do you remember your first season in park

hey just throwing out this thread to see whats going on. when was your first season in park, when was it and for the 2007/2008 season what are you throwing down

I don't ski park, and this is going to be another claim thread.

I just recently learned switch backs, and rodeo 5s off of a smallish booter in the BC.

Off of cliffs, I have thrown two backflips this year, three 360s, and a 540.

You mean when hitting those lil 10 ft. gaps where HUGE adn when instead of hitting rails i would go to the side and do a sweet 180, no thinking of someone else i wasn't that bad, don't remember sorry.

Yeah it was last year for me haha i was so much worse. I have footy from when i thought i was the shit for sticking 3s off 10footers and hitting flat-down boxes that were really easy. Hey I was soooooo stoked off that stuff when i finally realized i could actually do something in the park.

Now I'm hitting 270's on and am working on 5's and hopefully will stick pretzels next time i go. I barely get to go skiing though i only ski about 15 days a year.

I do...because I have a really limited amount of days in the season. I wanted to see how many I could hit and make in two weeks.

it was 05-06. this year im getting more serious rather than just fucking around with little spin+grab shit. now, im getting inverted. by the end of the year i sure hope i get my switch 180 loop

my first parks season was 2 seasons ago. i was just sliding boxes and rails sideways and doing a 180 every now and then.

i lived in the midwest and didnt ski much park since i started really skiing 3 years ago, so this is really my first year skiing park

i started skiing park halway through last season but not very seriously..now im hit rails and recently learned backflips

I started doing liek 360s and shit off little jumps in 8th grade. Im now a sophomore in college and can do some fun things. Nothing special but I can hold my own in the park

yeah it was the towards the end of last season.

i sucked and i still suck. lol, i need to grow some balls

last year for me...and i was doing super gay looking 7s last year and just getting ok at rails for natural

now this year somehow i super progressed on rails and boxes...and i can do almost any rail thats in a normal terrain park natural and unnaty i can 270s on and 450s off i can do butter 9s on butter boxes also can do pretzels

but on jumps im just trying to make my spins look better....im getting there... i can barely do backflips and i have tried like 3 corks but i couldnt land them cuz i was going switch into the landing which was 4 ft pow

can do frontflips

also im 14

i started dicking around in the park in the 02/03 season. were talking like spread eagles and stuff.

this is my second kinda like hardcore ski as often as I can year.

i havent really jumped yet this year so last year i did rodeo 5-9 and spins to 10.

rails this year ive been doing 270 onto alot more rails, and switch ups and stuff.

i ski moguls mainly though

I remember when we went up with a school group, and the instructor too, us to the park. I did a spread of sorts off the lip, and wrecked super hard. When I landed one later that day, I was so stoked.

And when my buddy and I went out to learn 360s, we built a 6" jump (maybe) and proceeded to huck ourselves 3 or 4 ft into the pow field below. We almost missed Patrol sweep, but we both got one.

I started skiing park in the '03 season...

me shreddin it back then!

it was a while ago and i could straight air and mute grab. But i could boost out of the pipe!

I was on race skis. They were 187's. I forget the year, but it was around the mid 90's. First big memory was throwing my first 3.

My first time in the park was probably like 2004, shredin some tiny jumps and rails at big sky on my school ski trip.

My mountain didn't have a park then but I remember my first season jumping, I think it was 1998. Poorly built powder booters, backflips and 360s with some respectable cliff drops.

Now I focus more on learning how to ski the shit out of everything, but on a good day in park I can float some good-looking slow spins frontwards and backwards.

oh, yes, forgot!

45.374 chairlift rides this season (I fell off once)

7,983 feet.

jokes.

and if I had realized what it really looked like when I posted it, I wouldn't have put it down.

you sound exactly like me, last season i learnt 3's, im now looking at learning pretzles (got both 270's now, just gonna put them together) and i really wanna learn backies this year. I only get about 2 weeks skiing plus the time on dryslopes and inside the snowdomes here in the uk

Started last year, now working on 5s, 3s with grabs, and trying to start getting technical on rails. I really wana work on backys too.

I'm an old man. I remember poaching the "Snowboard Park" to get my jib on during the 96-97 season when skiers weren't allowed in the park. Started to do grabs and spins that year and thought it was so progressive, hah! Haven't progressed a ton other than boxes and the occasional rail since then as I'm more about the pow but I love a good session in the park once in a while...keeps me alert and makes me smile.

i've been skiing park for like 4 seasons i think? i've ridden twin tips since i started skiing 7 years ago however. I lapped small boxes and jumps, and still currently do....
