i know alot of people that like to go out, usually to someones house (because most of my friends are under 21 and cant go to bars or clubs and party) and attent these huge house partys with like 100 people, and it seems like everytime one of these happens a bunch of people have fun, but the cops always get called or someone almost dies on the living room floor or something

does anyone else find big parties just too much? i mean, i have nothing wrong with drinking or smoking with some homies, or just hanging out or driving around or something but i really really hate the whole "party" scene... like i always hear about these parties at kids houses with like 70 or 80 people and everyone super drunk and fighting and breaking shit and being crazy, and ive been to huge parties before and they just arent that fun, i really just prefer to chill with like, less than 10 people, it just seems way calmer that way

i dunno... am i a pussy for not wanting to go out every night with 100 other people and trash somebody who i dont knows house??

sparknotes: is it cool to just like smaller gettogethers over really big parties?

i just like to chill with like 7-15 friends unless its a special occcasion (new years, holoween, etc...) i agree huge house parties and shit can be too much.

oh and frat parties are gay.

I always chill with like 10 people, get tipsy, play beer pong, and then suck at wii golf. I'm to lazy/chill to actually go to house party's, lol. If you ask me there's to much crazy shit going on and I don't have the brain power to comprehend it all.
 
the best house partys are with 15-20 people. this makes it so that you can talk to everybody make some new friends and do pretty much anything without much worry about the cops getting called as long as you stay inside. when i go to huge partys it usually ends up sucking pretty bad just because the cops almost always get called and the chances of getting really fucked up and not remember anything is a lot higher which totally sucks.
 
partys sound so different south of the border. well il assume most of canada will be like saskatchewan (call me ignorant but its all i know) here (in prince albert) a party goes on most weekends and usually around 20-30 people. everyone pretty much starts drinking in grade 9 or 10. Who doesnt love to get drunked up and or smoked up and have a good time. sometimes the more epic partys everyone talks about will be outside and around 200 or more people show up and they always get rowdy but still fun. if there i a dead weekend then we usually booze cruise or box the van and listen to music.

yea, dude thats cool, whatever floats your boat...everyone is different and its perfectly cool to hang in smaller groups. plenty of people prefer that over huge ass parties
 
our parties consist of like 30 people, i mean we try not to trash peoples houses, but we always have a good time.
 
the best parties are the ones where nobody fights and nobody gets hurt. also, i have to be wasted and not remember anything the next morning.

it's not how many people there are but how many it takes for something wild to happen. if it takes 10 or 100, that's fine.

that's not trying to sound cool or like i don't enjoy hanging out, but there's no use in partying if you don't want something memorable to happen anyway. you have your whole life to "chill" and have some casual beverages with a few friends, only a few irresponsible years to have a night that you should be arrested for. that is all.
 
i much prefer getting stoned with one or two other guys then with 30 other people around me. I feel like it just puts me in a different mindset and i am not as social
 
honestly i like small hang outs more than parties. a party once in a while is da fuckin bomb, but every week is just too much. i mean i like smoking and drinking, but not when theres 100000 people there. id prefer a sober night with like 6 people if i had to choose only one for the rest of my life

i agree, 20 people tops

on occasion i'll go to a big kegger but something bad always happens, no MIP's yet though

I only go to the most ragin' ragers, like 100 + peeps total wasted chaos. Don't ever remember anyone I meet, which is okay because they all suck anyways. Its great to get drunk and say whatever to anyone because there are so many people you can pretty much do whatever you want and it's usually pretty fun. Just messing with strangers or being an asshole for no reason etc. Unless its someone you knows house then you got to be respectful. But random partys you show up with tons of booze and like a crew of homies and you just tear it up you know.
 
I would say that partys at strangers houses are awesome. And the more people that are there the more people to meet.

But i would have to say there is only 2 things that are actually needed to make a party legit for me

1. Alcohol- obviously right, weed is a nice bonus, but it does not trump the alcohol

2. Bitches- whether or not they are classy bitches, skanky bitches, or just bitchy bitches there are the life blood of a party. If there are no bitches then you fail
 
I agree with you, I hardly ever go to house party's unless its with people from the mountain, they are lots of fun but its almost always just people older then me (of age) so the hole someone dying on the floor thing doesn't really happen. Massive house partys with people my age I just dont find all that fun... for the reasons you posted.

if you life in a smaller area like I do, hit up a show at a local hall, ( im guessing you live in a city and cant do this...) but one thing i love about living in a small town, good random small bands (mostly chill stuff like reggae) play all the time and its easy for kids to get in cuz its not a bar, its just a hall. they are tons of fun when its 100+ people and I find most people are alot smarter at shows like that.

if its a party where you know the majority if the people, its hella fun. but most of the time id rather have like 10 people, video games,beer pong, maybe some drunken badminton
 
i know everybody in my town so we never have parties that i meet new people.... it gets boring as fuck and i wish i could go to some parties that have more chill strangers

i dont mind huge parties, i enjoy them, just wear running shoes (cause im under 21) as long as i dont have to clean up
 
hahaha word dude i agree that shit is fun to do like once or twice a month for me. most of the time though it's like 15 people just playing beer pong, flip cup and all that shit having a good time and not too rowdy.
 
if I'm just chillen (smokin, light drinking, some games) I like 6-10 people. For "ragers" no more than 30-35.

I really don't enjoy big puke-your-brains-out mega fuckfests. I'd rather get blazed and watch a movie with a few friends.

but i love riders afterparties! Having fun in atmosphere where eveybody knows each other is so damn great!
 
Theres definitely time for 100+ people ragers and times for anywhere under 50 of homies party, its all about how you're feelin, im down for ragers maybe once a week at the most, homie parties are always real fun too.
 
i like partying i dont really care ilke meeting new people at big ones but just getting together is sick also
 
Yeah I'm more of a chill party person, maybe 15-20 people, some I know some I don't, and some booze usually makes for a good evening. I would recommend getting to know people with 2nd floor apartments that you can get out onto a roof and shout at people on the street.

Usually, the larger the party, the drunker I need to be to really get into it.... but crowds kinda freak me out so take what you will from that. There's been a jazz festival in town for the past week, which doesn't SOUND like a big party, until they shut down the main bar street and build a stage in the middle of it for Friday and Saturday night....... My memory is a little hazy of those, but it was a great time!

Also, for a bigger party, I prefer to be crashing it with maybe 2 buddies than knowing people there.......... makes everything more interesting when you show up trashed in ridiculous costumes when it's not halloween, and you don't know anybody, but........ I digress.

Long story short, party while you can, it's a hell of a lot harder after college.
