radio DJ for a small station here in montana. i LOVE it :) i mostly love dealing with the softwares, cutting and producing commercials. being on air is fun cept all the fucking idiots that call in like every single day. prize whores. i get paid shit....but its whatever. it does interfere with my skiing a lot tho because i work most weekends :( i guess its part of growing up!
 
I have two jobs!
1. work for a golf cart dealership. called five star golf cars we mostly carryeasy go's. I wash the carts clean the shop, help with alittle mechanical work every know and then, do all the manual labor my bosses dont want to do. I dont like this job especially on hot days I get paid minimum wage for hard work, my bosses all though nice guys usually dont give me breaks on my 9-3 days and that sucks. (im probably quiting this soon)
2. I caddy at a golf club called saratoga national. my first job is on wednesday.im pretty stoked being a golfer and the pay is GREAT!(for a 15 year old) 20 dollars an hour plus tips and tips should be good because during track season(horse racing) saratoga gets lots of rich guys.I think imgonna love this job I workwith cool people and its all cash so thedamn government cant take any of my money away!
neither interfere with skiing because im only 15 and only work in the summer
 
i am 16 and do yard work for these people. it sucks and i get $7 an hour but it does add up so i am able to buy a lot of new ski equipment.
 
I'm a food runner for a local restaurant. I used to love it, got decent money and pretty good hours. Now they're starting to screw me over. Not a consistent schedule and hours as everybody else, the head cook is a dick, just bull shit.

I'm going to college in august though and majoring in environmental policy so I'm hoping I can get a paid internship next summer so I can actually start building my resume and making some connections in the industry.
 
same, except for the tall part. and i hate my boss and the majority of the people that work there. i want a new job..
 
im 16, commercial tuna fisherman, i fucking love my job. i get to kill shit and get paid.

i also mow lawns wich is mad nice, just listen to beats and cruise around on a lawn tractor for a couple hours a couple times a week
 
work for my mom as her COmaid cleaning houses.Do I like it? It puts bread on the table. Benifits? she makes me lunch.
 
love it. Not a huge fan of nights when the game starts at 9 30pm and ends at 2am though...all for a loss.

oh well. We had some fun late in the night when there were fewer fans/staff around.
 
I work as a grounds keeper at a winery/historical landmark and I love it about 70% of the time. Alot of weedwacking which sucks, but also alot of forklift, fourwheeling, dumptruck and bobcat use which is pretty sick, and i can pretty much get wine whenever too.
 
Weekend janitor.

Basically my own boss, no supervisor on weekends and when I get called in during the week supervisors just leave you alone anyways. Simple routine, occasional janitorial work call (usually happens just as you go clock out for lunch or are on break, which is super tight...). Early start and early finish, 6am-2pm, union job so pay is legit by my standards.

So yeah no complaints besides I wish I got a couple more shifts here and there, but I do like my free time.

I don't LOVE my job and the world isn't exactly your oyster being a janitor but its iight, definitely shit loads better than retail. Fuck retail, especially in malls.
 
I do freelance web programming. I make decent money a lot of the time. I work whenever I like so most people think I don't have a job.
I also do freelance writing and content creation for the ski/action sports industries. I have stuff online but I have my first real article coming out this winter in print. Pretty stoked on it.
If everything goes right, I'll be a sub rep in Mammoth for a few different companies.
I get to live in Mammoth in the winter and LA in the summer.
I really really like my jobs :)
 
I work at the daytona international speedway in the summer. it is pretty kick ass, except you get up at 4 am the week of the race every day and on race day i had to get up at 3 and got home at 2 the next day, but the money was good. and my aunt was my boss so she was pretty chill. plus i got to meet papa john, who is a complete bitch and made the whole staff eat his pizza and he ate chicken and vegetables.
 
I'm 23, I work as a financial advisor for a particular bank that is one of the biggest ones in the country...and I hate my job.
Because I'm young I'm expected to be the first person in each morning and working late every night and then come in on the weekend too. I'm also expected to "cold call" which is essentially telemarketing all day long in order to get new clients and overall it all sucks ass.
I'm leaving in another month and hopefully one of the 30-something apps i've been sending out will get me a response soon. But I honestly just want to say fuck corporate shit and enlist with the marines or another special ops branch of the military. It appeals to me a lot more.
 
word, i have a ton of friends in NYC doing the same thing you are and they all work 80-100+ hours a week. I knew i didnt want to go into that so completely avoided it. Hey, you are making a ton of money though!
 
Not at all man, I'm leaving because I would literally make more doing some part time thing like landscaping. They sell you on the "potential" money to be made in commissions....and then they proceed to cut your salary until it's nothing.
It's a bunch of bullshit. trust me - stick to a salaried job, don't fall for the commission crap.
 
Thats so sick! I wanna get into freelance myself, but graphic design, I know shit all about web design...probably should learn that.

And working for the industry sounds tight, you're pretty much doing what I want to do for a career....

I am a gymnastics coach. Love it because I get to mess around on the trampolines and such but hate it because little kids can be super annoying. Pay is good, the hours suck.

But my cousin owns his own outdoors company(kyaking, skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, the whole 9 yards) and I plan to work for him next summer once I graduate from high school and do that throughout college.
 
i make salads for texas roadhouse. unbelievably easy, decent money, dope bosses and the guarantee of promotion further up the line. started as a dishwasher but i dont have to do that shit no more. all in all a pretty sweet job.
 
I am a Rye Airfield employee

it has its quirks, but 90% of the time I love what I do. I meet tons of people and get to skate and stuff for $$$$$$$$$!
 
i hate a lot people at my job, and how much better my place of employment was two years ago, but it can be awesome if i'm working with the right people.
 
I'm interning at an E-Commerce Facility for a major Retailer. I work in a million square foot building looking for ways to save money on shipping. Good pay, stuck in bumblefuck Ohio though. I'm impartial to liking or hating it.
 
Currently a lifeguard, love the job but hate the majority of the other guards who keep tryin to separate me from the one other cool guard.
 
I'm a courtesy clerk at q grocery store. It's not bad, I just clean stuff and bag groceries. Some people are bitches, but my boss lines me and gives me weekends off to ski in the winter, which is nice
 
I don't love my job. But I also don't hate my job. I might love it when I start working from home. I will miss seeing my supervisor every day though, she's probably the reason I don't hate it :)

But jammies all day outweighs anything else!
 
I'm a crew supervisor for a baseball field grounds crew and couldn't ask for a better job. I work every day, all day during the summer but make enough money to last me through the rest of the year. I get paid well and set my own hours. I don't really have a boss, I've just gotta be sure I stay on top of everything and nobody questions me. It's my 6th year working the job, but alas it will be my last. I'm pretty bummed, but due to some issues higher up the company won't be around next year.
 
I guess I'm a marketing/PR guy right now. I work for HobbyTron. So basically my office is full of airsoft guns and RC helicopters and I play with them all day and then write blogs/reviews/marketing nonesense about them.

Yeah I love my job. Funny thing is I don't know anything about RC at all.
 
Hate the fact that I work 7 days a week all contract with the odd sunday off, love the money and the people i work with. And the fact that im laid off for winter. Its a love/hate relationship.
 
i'm a sous-chef at a catering company.

honestly it's the best job i could ask for. monday through thursday i mostly just prep food so it can more or less be done around my schedule. friday and saturday usually kinda suck because they're always 12+ hour days of prep, cooking at event site, then tearing everything down. but it pays well, i get to do what i love, (working with food) and the colder months are slow for business so i will hopefully get some more skiing in this winter.
 
awesome, i love prepping (you stand there, listen to music, talk to coworkers, and the works pretty easy), but the shifts start so early, usually around 6-7 AM
 
to those of you that don't like your job. Why don't you just find a job that better fits you? Why do you work a job you don't enjoy?

-Trust me, i'm working on it. I've been searching daily and applying since early May and still having no luck at all. It's insanely hard to land a job currently. Especially a good one that you can see yourself enjoying.

Why do you work a job you don't enjoy?
-Because I have a school loan and monthly bills to pay, and because having fun usually requires some expenditure of money so I continue to put up with the current job because basically i have to.
