I have a company that is trying to hire me in Alaska. I can keep living in Denver, but I would be spending a lot of my time in Alaska. Maybe someday I'll stay in Alaska. This company has been recruiting me hard, so I feel like I need to make up a decision at some point.

What I like about Denver is I can ride a motorcycle year round a fair amount of time minus the mountains. Good location.

Is sunlight really bad in Alaska? I don't get depressed but people make it sound really bad. I thought someone just said you can still ski almost open to close at Alyeska, so maybe it's just people talking shit who don't really know any better

thanks

there is great motorcycle riding here, not year year round though haha. amd ALY doesnt stay open year round, may usually at the latest but deff not this year. but there are some mtn you could probably ski year round. who are you getting recruited by? dude come check this place, last frontier muther fucker

Guessing you made a decision months ago, but figured I'd chime in.

I moved to Alaska from Denver about a year and a half ago. I'm in Anchorage now. Got out of school, worked in Denver for a while and just felt like I was joining the rat race and wasting my life. So glad I moved here. I still have a professional job, but love being able to get out for a 6 hour adventure after work in the summer. I go night skiing once a week at Alyeska, its nothing incredible, but I get a kick out of it. Plus, in the spring there is great touring in the evenings after work. In terms of daylight, even in Denver when you get off work in the winter it is dark. Going to work in the dark for months on end isn't the best. And I do really miss being able to go for a run in shorts at lunchtime in Feb, but whatever can't have it all and I think Anchorage is as close as it gets.

Anyways, interested to hear what you decided.
