Do you like hip hop? please take my survey

You asked do you think mainstream exposure is good for hip hop artists?

I said yes, because it's obviously great for the artist. Wouldn't you want to be more popular and make more money? I think anyone would say yes to that. I think the real question is, 'do you think mainstream exposure is good for the music and hip hop in general?' and I would say a definite no.

interesting idea, thanks for the response

The problem in my opinion is that too much of what's out there is over produced bullshit packaged to sell. The song doesn't even matter. It's just people mumbling incoherent gibberish over a well produced beat.

"Party rap"

Proper hip hop with some intelligence is fucking awesome though. And yes, white people can understand hip hop. I'm pretty sure that's what you were asking.

I agree, real hip hop is great... But the shit that most big artists put out now is just someone talking over a beat. Rich white teens buy that shit up because it makes them feel ghetto... Keep it Underground
