Do you like Bam Margera?

I liked him for a little while on his show. But as it got later on, I realized h ow much of a dick he is. Like on his cribs when he smashes shit for his girlfriend to pick up, that's just gay.
 
He was funny for about two weeks, but the whole jackass thing has been old for years. I don't think he's caught on yet.
 
I agree. He has so much money to spend and he uses it to entertain us...in the most extravagent ways. The non-repetitive stuff is pretty funny. I never found the shopping cart thing to be that great.
 
Watched him from since back in the CKY days...

Stuff did get old once it was on MTV for a year or two as Jackass. But the man has gotten extremely rich off doing what he does.

He's a shock-artist, and I think he's damn original and I give him a shitload of credit.
 
Well, the MTV jackass stunts were all the same shit as CKY stunts, but more toned down for TV's sake.

I just wish all these 13-14 year olds would start realizing that Jackass wasn't the start of that shit.

he may be funny from time to time but he gets all his credit for his friends. they are hilarious (ie- raab and dico)

CKY is the origional shit. JAckass came waaay later. If anything you should be crediting Bam, Rake, and Brandon.

They found a way to make alot of money and they do a damn good job. I could never hate on any of those dudes.

Bam's pretty good, but he's no better than most pro's out there. I wouldn't even call him a pro skater anymore, he's more of a tv persona. Granted, he can skate, but he chose to be famous for shitting on windows instead of for flipping his board.

Also, while Bam is pretty good now, see if you can find any footage of his skating when he first started getting famous for his CKY and Jackass stuff. He went to complete shit. He started out as a budding pro, but when he became famous for being an idiot, he stopped skating, didn't keep up with progression and became pretty bad. It's only now that he realized his fan base isn't made up of skaters anymore. It's generally not the hardcore skaters that buy his HIM stuff, it's those damn little tag along kids.

Which brings me to the next thing that pisses me off about Bam. His dick shit idiot persona overshadows better skaters even in the skateboarding world. Look at what Element has become. Every single brochure they send out and most ads they make have Bam's face on it. For god sakes, look at Elementality, half of the cover is taken up by Bam's ugly mug. Do they do it because Bam is their best skater? Do they do it because Bam really represents skateboarding culture to those who actually ride those pretty boards they buy? Bullshit, they do it because an entire generation of kids has attached to him and everything he does. Destroying shit is cool! Pissing people off his cool!

Ag, even the Tony Hawk games have followed that path. So I'm sitting there playing American Wasteland and I'm at that point where you make a killer video to raise money and save your park. The guy on screen says that the video has to be uniquely epic, or something like that. I'm agreeing and I think I'm about to have to play out some filming scene, where we go skate some new spots and get totally new footage. Instead, that little on-screen bitch says we should go blow something huge up.

Since when did making a skate video get away from actual skating? Do kids buy skate videos now not to watch the skating but watch pro's do stupid shit? Is CKY an example of the next generation's skate videos? 10 minutes of skateboarding and 50 minutes of breaking shit?

Hahahahahha, newschoolers in class gives me way to much time to think and write about these things. But really, I agree with you that he's an idiot off his board, but I don't think anything improves when he gets on his skate either.

Fuck Bam Margera.

well I just got Elementality and Bam freaking shredded it, and yeah Bam is a spoiled bastard? HE EARNED MAN. Bam is smart as hell, he is owning everyone by screwing around and getting paid for it. Bam is the shit.
 
bams show was good until i realised that nearly every prank on the show is fake / set-up. . .he's a dick its not even real pranks
 
mike v is the shit, ever see the thing where they are in a parkin lot skateing and this guy tells em to leave, so bam n mike v are just like w/e get outa here, the guy comes back 5 mins later and mike v grabs him by the neck n shoves him back into his truck and forces him to leave

Hahahahah, I do feel strongly about it, but the length of that is more due to the fact that my class was boring as shit. Somehow I'd rather write a near essay on how much I hate Bam Margera than do the goddamn class essay thing. Hahahaha, it's funny how that works out.
 
He's hilarious, the shit he does to Don Vito (especially the 4 cars he's wrecked) are so funny. I also like when he throws a melon in Rake's head haha. And when he does wakeup calls on his dad and Dunn...but he is a bit spoiled yeah..
