whaaaatt... if i was rich enough for that, id drive an 83 tercel and then invite people over, and as soon as they start ripping on my car, id but open my secret garage with like a ferrari and a porsche. then id be like "what now bitches?"
 
those hidden garages aren't actually that expensive, you can get a good one for as low as $5000. any lower than that and they're probably crap and will destroy your cars. this billionaire guy that my friend lives with has one, he spent about $10,000 on it.
 
Those are his backups. He actually lives in the ghetto so his cars are always getting stolen. So when the ones in his garage are stolen he opens the hidden garage. BAM! two more cars.
 
can't find one on google, i'll ask the guy about it next time i see him and post back in here with info. if your garage has a big enough roof, you can actually have it in your garage instead of the driveway, that's what the guy i know has.
 
aren't car jacks for auto shops like 10 grand just for one? And those are really simple hydraulic lifts. I can't imagine that they would be as cheap as 10g's but who knows.
 
i'm just telling you what he told me. he was drinking at the time, but i don't think he was lying, he's not really the dishonest type.
 
You're quite right.

Maybe you could get a cheap piece of shit lift for 5g's, but a whole garage?

The excavation alone must be 5 g's...not to mention the electrical (600?), structure/thing that has to support the weight of 4 cars and a STONE DRIVEWAY (must be 10 k min), the lifts (15k), and then the labour and specialization required to do something like that...

I think K-rob is missing some zero's from his guesstimate.

If it was 5k, it would be MUCH more popular.
 
I would create myself a secret batcave with that technique if I had the money. That could be used to so many more epic things than just garage.

why would i have a hidden garage? I just do what any red blooded american does, i keep my 5 lambos in my front lawn... next to the broken dishwasher, tipped over swingset from the early 80's, just behind the sweet blue garden orb.
