to obtain an automatic weapon, you need a class-3 liscence. and to get that you need a spotless record and go through a crazyhard background check

if someone could find a referance finding stats on how many legally bought fully automatic weapons were used to kill people, and how many of thise were bought with that purpose. in fact, im gonna try to find that right now.

anyone that uses auto-weapons for ill-purpose (ie- bank robbers, militia members, gangsters) have gotten them illegally.

im gonna find out the stats on these. when i get them i'll post them.

There are so many criteria you need for a class 3 license its ridiculous. It is highly unlikley career criminals can obtain these weapons legally. To get a class 3 license you need written permission from your local sheriff. You can never have gotten a felony of any kind. You can never have been charged with only kind of drug involved crime felony or misdeamenor. You can never have plead insanity to a trial. You can not have recently gone through a divorce. You cant get one if anyone has a restraining order against you. You have to be a legal citizen (I doubt most terrorists are). You can never have been charged with a voilent crime inlcuding misdeamenors for fighting. You can not have been dishonorably discharged from the military. You must be 21. And theres many more criteria. Your average criminal is not gonna even be able to apply for one. Let alone all the classes that are required to get one. Gun control on these type of weapons will make little difference if any at all. The people who get these guns illegally are the ones you need to be worrying about not the people who are allowed to get them. Besides these guns have been on our streets this whole time its not like you can only get them now, they just cost less.

I almost bought an AP-9 my freshmen year of college cuz it was only 300$. but I wasn't old enough beause its considered a pistol and not a rifle. My friend bought one last year he said its a piece of shit and it constantly jams

find the statistic about how much pre ban gun related crime/deaths dropped during the ban. Like someone said before you can't just go out and buy machine guns leagally, those that can are very wealthy. Even some of the guns that come off the ban, most gang members can't afford, and the peopel that can afford one, most likely won't live in a neighborhood that the gangs are going to steal it from. Let us rednecks have our guns, it makes our penis feel longer.

Monkey I dont think you want that sniper rifle. That is an extremely light gun for a .50 caliber rifle. Most .50 cals I've seen are around 38 pounds and they are made heavy un purpose because unless the guns are mounted on a truck or another platform you could seriously injure yourself shooting one. The bullets peirce tank armor and can go through an engine block of a car and stop it dead. Also .50 caliber bullelts are over 5$ a piece.
