Do you get excited when you get Chair #1?

yeah, it shows that your not only perfect friends with the snow, the park, the nature but also with the lift line, to take exactly as long as one chair to go back down.

and somehow its senseless, but we all wait for the #1 when theres like #130 on the way and youve seen before that like #134 is the last one...

 
When I was little we used to always wait for the first chair to come around if it was close to the end. Now I won't wait for it but if it comes it definitely is good luck
 
best thing is when you get chair 1 and it stops right in the middle of the gears of a tower. when ever i make a wish when that happens it always comes true!
 
I've always thought getting the last chair is more exciting than getting the first...that is unless by "chair #1" you mean the first chair to go up the mountain that day. Nothing beats that.
 
at my local mountain one of the lifts is all blue except for one chair which is black and good luck. havnt gotten it yet this season but was right behind it once
 
yah at our mountain theres on chair that de-railed once and they replaced it with blue padding instead of black like the rest. and this one time me and a couple friends were up we got that chair like 8 times in row. it was freaky haha. but i dont think ive ever had the pleasure of getting chair +1

back in the day, our mountain had two special gondolas (out of like 140):

one was painted on the outside with a summer mountain scene (green meadow, a few cows standing around, "an old cabin made of earth n wood" and a blue small river)

the other one was just like the other but had a simple "VIP"-print on the front, as well as a few silver stars all over.

i dont think they are used now or were in use last year, but when they were around and you were able to get in one of the two it certainly made your day...

"WAIT, WAIT, i saw the coloured one before we went into the station, it gotta be here in a minute", well, so we waited, despite the fact that there was no row infront of us
 
lol once at my hill these dudes went and stole a chair in the summer and painted it an american flag ....
and everyone would go ape shit when they got the liberty chair
 
chairs 11 and 31 at my mountain are good because they are bent like recliners, so you can relax when going up. i got the gold chair on my first day this year at mt snow
 
after years of riding old chairs with metal or wood slats and others with the hard plastic seats, i'm just happy to get on a chair with good padding.
 
one year i was at the bottom of my resort because parking is easier and i don't have to go inside for my pass or wait in a long line out side you cruise through the booth (We don't have a season pass reader at lifts for some reason) and i get on the begginer lifts that are parallel and some one fucked up the lift on the right when they took it down because they rust. They numbers went 1 and then 52 and then 69 and 2 and in order it was messed up. And on the upper lift the chairs end at 420
 
fuck ya! one of our lifts is that way. one chair just has nothing, and they let you ride it cuz our mountain is GHETTTO. we are thinking about dumping off of it this year since your ass just hangs out!
 
YES. i look for it all day, and when i get it, i shit my pants. seriously i really do look for it all day
 
hell yes No.1 chair is always wanted, especially when its a padded leather chair....sooo shweeettt...

true dat man. my record is 5. though it should be 3 cause the last 2 times i deliberatly timed it so i would get numero 23. hahaha
 
For some reason I was totally expecting this to be about getting first chair... like on a powder day. In which case I was like "Of course I get fuckin excited." Now I realize the error of my ways. On topic:I enjoy it when me an all my friends are at the hill and we are just trucking around together and we happen to get three chairs in a row and they just happen to be 1, 2, 3.
 
i was at beaver creek skiing with these little kids who were family friends and we took 3 different lifts and got chair 115 on all 3 of them in a row
 
i get really excited when i get on a chair that i have previously stickered.

Like chair number 34 at my mtn

Chair number one also rocks
