READ THIS:

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/24991066/bushs_final_fu/print

If you think this is "too long" of a read, I am sorry for you.

Now, I know most people, will read this and just think angry hateful thoughts towards Bush. Bush is a tool. He is being used.

There are people trying to make your country hell on Earth. You need to recognize this.

We have all been brought up in an ignorant, egotistical, capitalistic, narrow-minded, violent society. We have all been taught to take certain actions in certain situations.

We have lost sight of something every living creature on Earth is born with. Natural instinct.

Now, I do not mean to force views, or be all "conspiracy" crazy." But this is becoming easier and easier to see day by day.

We are basically in the initial stage of a tidal wave consisting of the BIGGEST WORLD EVENT IN HISTORY.

This tidal wave will build and build, get bigger and bigger. Eventually it will reach the white cap, and come crashing down with huge amounts of destruction.

I am describing the hate towards your own government. This hate will build. You will be let down again, and again, and again, causing you to lose all faith in your "democracy". (Starting with the bailouts... FAIL)

We have entered the world's worst economic crisis in history, AFTER being stuck with the worst president in history.

We have the first black president with the most amount of pressure a president has ever experienced.

There shall be millions with no jobs. No money. No medical help for those who cannot afford it.

Gun laws are trying to be pushed to allow firearm possession in any area imaginable. (This, also in a society full of violent, gun loving, video gaming, movie watching people.)

They want people to rise up in anarchy. Or more so force people to have to resort to this.

They want our "violence loving" to take control. Making the majority of people to resort to what they have been taught. As in protect your family with your firearm. If the governments the enemy, well, I think you can imagine.

Please just look around yourself. Look around.

TV

MTV,(ha music...), full of beautiful rich people on reality TV. Uh, reality TV. And what else... oh, more beautiful people on reality TV.

NEWS - Fear fear fear. Fear this, fear that. Trust no one. Everyone is the enemy. Terrorists are everywhere. Blah blah blah.

VIOLENT SHOWS, adult cartoons (family guy, American dad. Thanks fox!)- Played on television mid-day. Allowing children of all ages to watch. But with satellite, hey, watch whatever show you want any time of the day little Timmy!

VIDEO GAMES - Kill kill kill. You have 10 year olds running down crowds of people like it aint no thang in GTA 4. Yea, sure is a healthy practice for any mind...

PORN - Biggest entertainment industry on the planet. Hmm, beating off to a 2D image of two people having fake sex. Bet that has great repercussions on the mind. Oh yea, and it's the easiest thing to find for free.

MONEY-

Ever notice those dudes with the sickest clothes, most money, get some of THE best looking girls? (easy way is to push drugs... which is a "nice idea", forced upon all suburban and city kids due to mainstream rap. "I party, I use to deal, I have mass money, I get the hottest girls. I'm the best, flyest guy alive! It's all-da-same blah blah blah)

This is all part of every single one of our lives. We have all been brought up, trained by media, to allow this massive event to take place.

Just look at your own thoughts from the third person. You can realize this.

I'm really sorry for being all, "horrible things are coming!". But this is just getting more and more blatantly obvious. The media is slowly giving out little teasers.

It's like pieces to a puzzle, one day we will all come to the point where we acquire the right amount of pieces, to see a picture of what will become. And we will all hate it. This is when shit is supposed to hit the fan.

Disorder will start with the lower class and work it's way up.

Discuss. No ignorant name calling please. No need to attack each other, no uselessness.

I completely and wholeheartedly agree. We need a revolution but it much be through peace not violence. The powers that be want noting more than for us to become violent. They've been preparing a police state for us for the longest time. A violent outbreak would throw everything that we (those who have been working for positive social change) have worked for away.

I'll respond more thoughtfully an in depth when I have more time...

i agree with you that we are facing very tough times and sadly, i admit, it will get harder for everyone.

i will also fully admit that i am a true believer in a capitalistic marketplace. A capitalistic market will always go through a "cleansing" period, which is currently happening. this one will last for quit some time. Our government is not responsible nor should it intervene with the free marketplace.

The mainstream media does not report the truth, it plays favorites and stories that are not relevant to what we (the people) want to hear, which is why they are loosing money hand over fist; like the new york times or example.

there is so much wrong with this country today, especially our generation. when people bitch and moan about not being to have everything now, or that we Americans think we deserve certain "entitlements" just because we are Americans. bullshit. take housing for example. the government and the media has told us for so long that we should own a home for investment reasons that we believe we have to own one. Truth is, i would say that a little less than half the people owning a mortgage should even have one. You can get what you want in America if you work for it, it cannot be given to you or you loose the motivation aspect.

these are just some ideas that are floating around in my head right now, i got off track somewhat, but i do care about my life and seeing what is happening in this country right now really gets under my skin.

if only the headlines on this weeks Onion were true -- The supreme court over turns 2000 election and gore is president from now until the 20th

haha, that would be so funny. When i hear Al Gores name all i can think of (besides global warming haha) is Lock Box. funny shit.

i ado agree with you though. karma for such a well written post.

i cant really say much more than i agree with you on basically everything.

The information about guns is a very interesting point. I also agree with the part about the news. "New terrorist threat, 3 people dead in car accident, plane crash, missing 16 year old, 2 killed in drive by shooting". How about "A man saved 3 children in a burning house today." for a change.

Youth will always be violent and revolutionary. Thank god it takes takes much more than just that age group to start a revolution.

because it doesnt make people want to watch. look at horror films. they arent even scary anymore, theyre just revolting and sickening. its just gore with more gore. and it keeps getting worse.

yo threadie, i think you should have also mentioned horror films. now that i think about it.

Also a note. For those of the upper class.

Your money right now may give you the illusion of feeling safe from a large event.

You must realize this "large event", will start with the most desperate, the lower class. It will start with those who cannot feed their own childern. It will start out of desperation.

This will spread upwards. Up the capitalistic scale.

Think of the pyramid and the eye on the dollar bill.

The eye, will always remain intact. While the rest of the pyramid has the ability to be destroyed.

although you bring up a good point i dont see the relevance to it or why that would happen in the first place.

when you said it will start with the lower class, i dont agree with that. we have instruments set up for people that can not afford basics that we did not have in the past.

the real problem will come when unemployment raises more and businesses shut down and basic supplies become unavailable. Panic is usually the case in a major event. if you cannot feed your children you would file for welfare, food stamps, low income housing, things that we have set up, or god forbid you go to a shelter. But my question to you is, if we enter another depression and supply chains dry up and people panic, stock up on food, water, clothes... imagine what that would do to our country. if you woke up in the morning and didnt know if the grocery store would have milk, or bread. now it becomes a matter of supply, not a matter of how much money you have to buy the product; it wont be there.

i know that this is the farthest fetched idea and i can see where you were coming from about the bottom up. im not arguing your logic i am just stating mine.

blaming video games for that shit is bull

its the parents...if the parents allow "10 year old kids" to play video games like that and their children go and do something like shoot up somebody...its solely the parents fault...obviously they are bad games and for that they have a Mature rating 17+....because obviously a 10 year olds mind isn't able to tell if thats right or wrong...so basically the parents are just saying here you go....go kill.

its not the video games.

I get it, I get it. You are moving to soviet russia. Or wait... in soviet russia does it mo... wait no. Nevermind~

I can't see how you can possibly make that statement? Yeah its PARTLY the parents fault, but no where near solely their fault.

But yes I do agree that people need to realize that every thing they hear and see is not true. I also recognize this hate towards the government, but I feel that its because the economy is doing poorly. If the economy was thriving, do you still think that the general public would be even slightly concerned about any of these regulations that Bush is instating.

Also I missed the part why the thread is called "do you care about your

life." If anything this thread is about conspiracy's against the

government and the media, but that's not what we are arguing about.

Most of this stuff really scares me.

trying to past the clean water act and dumping stuff in our rivers? and not caring about endangered species? Making it easier for companies to pollute?

Think about it and although you will probably ignore my post. Our ecosystem is based off a balance of species and if a lot of things become extinct at once, it could drastically mess up this balance. Allowing lead into the air is horrible. Roman lead pipes? Dumping stuff in our water is horrible too. With the world population growing, what will happen when there is a massive water shortage from lack of clean water?

you shouldnt be worrying about the media that much. overpopulation and overconsumption is a much bigger problem. pretty much everyone some point in their life wants kids, and a lot of people have too many, eventually our earth wont be able to sustain our population. we're like a growing bacteria, we just multiply everywhere.

Saying you shouldn't worry about hte media but you should worry about overpopulation is an oxymoron. they go hand in hand. The media promotes sex and violence and you tend to have sex and create violence as a result. It's called "cause and effect." Anyways, we are already past carrying capacity for humans. At this point, we have to worry about sustainability rather than depopulation, although depopulation is exactly what the "elites" want, but that's more for control rather than keeping sustainable. Check out the venus project in my signature. It is entirely possible to transform the human species from a destructive force to a neutral or even contributive force to the earth.

It's all about dedication, personal drive to actually be active and care for the earth and those around you (rather than being lazy and sitting on your ass all day playing video games and watching TV) and having a loving, positive outlook on life (rather than a negative, hateful one).

As David Icke often says, "Infinite love shall set you free"

Yea, except only a tiny group of the population knows themselves completely and are able to experience that love.

No one knows how to access "love", and feel it for every conscious thing in the universe.

To be able to be connected with everything through love, you must first know yourself. And once you know yourself, you are yourself.

Know thy self and thou shall know.

and

Be what you are. Not where you are.

Think of growing up in a world, that is natural. Growing up just as a deer grows up in the bush. You would have no ideas or information forced upon you.

You would never be disconnected from yourself. You would grow up using your natural instinct. You would be one with love.

I know, I can notice the effects of media on myself and I am learning. Learning to ditch ego, fear, hate, greed. These are all feelings subjected into our life's from media. They are unnatural.

The world needs to start knowing themselves again. Everyone use to know them self. When they were an infant. Before information could be subjected.

If everyone knew themselves, there would be no need for capitalism, there would be no ego, creativity would be abundant in every person in their own creative way. There would be no copy and pasting. Everyone would be happy with who they are.

But talking about this subject could go on and on and on...

You have a good post, but you need to understand that the media is nowhere near the cause of overpopulation or even cause and effect with it.

Where we are seeing overpopulation is not countries like the US right now. Especially media-related. There is no way teen pregnancy is statistically near anything growth wise. While it is overpopulated, yes, it is not the sever problem like in Eastern China, Indonesia, metro India, etc I will agree to the media perpetuating violence, but self morality in this world has weakened and so have morals. I think that has a lot more to do with it than the media.

Like I said, good post, just be careful of that comparison.

fuck i hate reading these things. its fucking depressing. But i know its a good thing to read because if i dont ill just become one of those ignorant people who pretend nothigns wrong and everything will be ok.

+K for a post that hopefully will be eye opening to some.

Manning, you are being really really cynical.

I will totally agree that this culture is not perfect. Nor is it, the "best". However, you have to understand that you are making everything out to be way worse than it is. Let's say there was a revolution and all income equality was balanced. What would happen in 10 years? The same thing. Or maybe we would go communist and everything would be even more corrupt. You need to understand we live in a technological age in which most countries are much past the basic needs, so there are more wants.

This is why there is a balance of Democrats. Sure the income inequality gap is wayyy too high right now, but look who is voted into office. I see absolutely no need for a revolution right now. I give respect to your cause and it is good to see you analyzing in a free thinking way, but you are taking it too far for the time being. Who's to say in 10 years this country won't change and need a revoltuion? For now, just try to see the brighter side of things.

Manning, I think you are overreacting.

You act as if doomsday is upon us and people will be starving and the world will end and the revolution will come from the bottom up.

Don't you even get it? People, including you, feel like this because you are told to feel like this. You are a victim of something you are warning us about-- the media. Fear drives the media, and you have been had.

AVERAGE real wages have increased 20 to 30-fold from the beginning of the 19th century. People are living longer than ever. People are freer than ever (overall). People are able to work hard and get ahead (unlike many of the "bottom"). There are no imminent threats like there have been for almost all of human history.

You, sir, are completely overreacting. I hope you can look back and compare now to history and realize how off base you are. It's easy to be scared, but you have to realize we really are better off.

i completely agree with the way you say things are right now. but i also believe that people are by nature violent and ignorant. im not so sure this is a problem that is new, or even getting worse. or that there will be huge instantaneous repercussions (aka the shit hitting the fan). if you think about what america was like in the 18th century with adolescents in actual bloody battles, and corrupt people ruling over whatever they could with whatever power and force they had, you'll realize that this is nothing new. terrible things have always been around. people just have to choose to not live their lives like that, and usually its not easy.

Insightful post, but i think you are going a little too far as to say this is the worst economic crisis in history.

The event that would definetly take the cake to that would be the Great Depression. That was not just an American thing that happened, during the era of the depression the whole world was going through the same thing. What we are going through now is more of a serious downturn, and other nations are still booming in the world economy.

For this to be the worst economic crisis in history, far worse things need to happen all over the world first.

But still. good eye opening post, +K.

No, you are right. The US is not a huge part of the overpopulation problem, we have a fairly stable population. It is mostly third world countries like you said who are fucking like rabbits without access to any contraceptives. I'm not sure what I was thinking at the time of my my post because I agree with you that the media has led to more of a downfall of morals, decency, and general human relations (one could argue intelligence as well) than it has affected overpopulation. You are right, it was a poor comparison.

And manning, you are being extremely pessimistic. You do not need to fully perpetuate the essence of love (no matter how "gay" that sounds) in every facet of life, all you need is to attempt to do so. This is very simple and can be done in many ways. You can do this by recognizing when you are being negative for no reason and correct that, or by regognizing when you are angry over something that is not worth it. Training yourself to recognize stuff like that and being able to take a step back and ask yourself "why am I feeling this way?" is a huge step in being able to achieve that level that you say is so illusive. I'm not saying I'm perfect at this at all, hell, I slip up and feel unecessary anger or hatred towards people every now and hten too, but I have been working on recognizing that anger and chanelling it into a more positive outlet.

okay sure he is overreacting a little bit. No the end is not right on our doorstep. It is within 20 years I can guarentee that. Sure the media tells you the end is near and shit but man it does not take a lot to realize what will lead to the end.

have you ever see nthe movie children of men. truly, I believe this will be exactly how the world will fall out. humans will fuck up one way wether it be with cloning or with robotics and somehow the world will begin spiraling to an ultimate end. but this is not what the thread is about.

I think the Bush administration is either doing this to set Obama up for what will be the greatest presidency ever and change the entire world, or they are doing it just to fuck him. I mean the article even states most of these "midnight changes" can be overturned but take lots of time. Obama obviously knows this and is going to be working to change them, which makes him seem like he is the american hero. He will save the poor and black of middle america and make them wealthy, make them powerful, give them hope rather than what bush did and send them into a fucking grave without a shovel.

^^

sorry to let you down bud.. this worlds fucked and running itself into the ground.

lets hope for a good round 2 folks and have some fun while it lasts~!

great im putting myself through a ridiculous amount of stress at a private school so i can be released into and equally stressful college and than a shitty life in the shitty world economy, fucking awesome.
sorry for the negativity im just pissed/stressed right now

the only reason you dont like videogames is cause your a huge noob probabbly. although i do agree getting pwned sucks, dont bash vgames for it bro.

Sorry man, but Bush's administration isn't doing this with Obama's best interests in mind, quite the opposite in fact. He's doing it for self interest, the interests of big corporations, and to screw Obama and the rest of America over (although the America part may or may not be intentional).

Also, why the hell is everybody so damn pessimistic about our future? Sure it's grim, but it's grim because the generation before us made a lot of poor choices. It's up to us to fix those, not sit back and complain about how shitty our future is going to be because of those poor choices.

Stop bitching and start helping.

i can't believe it took that long for someone to speak up....well done.

anyway, yeah, there are alot of good points in mannings post, but its so......"ehhhh.."

people have been looking for apocalyptic signs and reasons to see a falling out of humanity forever....it usually works out. i'm not unaware of all that shit, though, manning, there are some problems i do agree with.

throughout history people (aside from a few, i guess) failed to see the problem with killing innocent women believed to be witches, the poor could revolutionize and overthrow a tyrant government, and it was acceptable to watch people die as entertainment (drawn & quartering, gladiators, etc..) those were their problems, now we have ours. we'll see what happens.

Rhcp. You don't understand. I do not fear this at all.

Doomsday is not upon us. I am doing what is called, thinking for myself.

I stopped watching stupid internet videos a long long time ago.

Some things in life are extremely hard to comprehend.

Now why do I think of these crazy things? Why do I see these crazy things coming?

BECAUSE. My whole life, I have learnt. LEARNT. You must all understand, TRUE learning, and TRUE knowledge cannot be taught through a book. TRUE KNOWLEDGE is not memorizing a text book.

Is going to highschool, being spoon fed information, then memorizing this information, true learning? Hmm? Think about it. Is it not all just memorization?

With that in mind, true actual knowledge, can only be gained through ones own individual consious experience. True knowledge is gained by experiencing day to day situations, extracting meaning, and applying it.

THIS is true knowledge.

My WHOLE entire life, (I have realized this in the last month), I have always been seeking something. Thanks to my awesome family, which I have learnt I am SO VERY lucky to have grown up in. I have not had any type of idelolgy, believe, major family issue, or religion pushed upon me.

My parents have given me guidelines. Guidelines they have learnt, through their entire consiousness experience on Earth. They have guided me with the knowledge they have gained throughout their living experience.

For so long I had never chosen a group. As in junior high, high school. I always had a want to belong to a group (popular kids of course), but I always had a deep feel, deep down, that something was not correct in everything. Something was not natural.

I always just drifted between many groups. I could hangout with the popular kids, then the just normal kids. Video game nerds. Text book nerds. The strange kids. I just talked to everyone. I never made a choice of commiting to a group.

You see, once you commite to a group. You start copying the group. You can see this copy and pasting in all mass media and pop culture. Any group in high school. Clothing styles, music, fall of hip hop to rap. IT IS EVERYWHERE.

Creativity is lost. People decide to ditch their own amazing creativeness, which is the beauty of living. Everyone is different. Everyone has certain talents, everyone thinks of solving problems in different ways.

Everyone is supposed to be different.

You see, I just moved away to the mountains for the season. I am away from all the groups. Away from my city. Away from the bar scene. The fake heartless relationships. The copy and pasting mentality of groups.

Once you leave the situation, you are no longer pressured in any way to be a certain way. I have looked back on my last 5 years of life and realized so much, gained so much knowledge in a short time.

This is learning about myself. I am in the beginning stages of understanding why I am. What made me who I am today. What is wrong and not natural about my own thinking and views towards others, and everything.

Now you see, I do not fully know my whole self yet. I know this because I know I would know, if I knew my entire self. I know a bit. More is gained day by day.

Ill go back to this. Think of a deer growing up in the bush with no views or ideas forced upon it. It does not have to assimilate to any system. Any group. Any certain way of thinking. It does not lose sight of itself. It knows who it is.

This deer, knows more then many humans alive know right now. It knows itself far better then many humans know themselves.

Is this deer not better off?

You see, once you start realizing these things. You can notice what is wrong in everyday living. You start noticing unnatural things about everyone. You start seeing all the fakeness. The copy and pasting.

When you see this, you ask why is (this) the way it is? What made it the way it is?

The why is the what. And the what is the why.

And you can answer all these questions yourself. With no teacher, no textbook, nothing. And once you answer a "what" or "why", you gain a whole nother piece of knowledge.

A whole nother piece to the puzzle. You see, the puzzles have been scattered and hidden. You need to find the pieces, collect them, then piece it all back together. And once you can do this, you can see the picture. The picture you are not supposed to see.

You see ns, and any who read this. Many will think I am "crazy", or odd. Well, I am sorry for you. You should think about what I am saying. Not resort to instant rejection because what I am saying attacks what your believes.

But some, some will understand this. And those are who need to realize what I am saying.

You see rchp, I do not fear for the future to the point of utter paranoia. Fear is a bad thing. Fear isn't natural. Of course fear still pops into my head every once in a while. But I am learning. Learning to lose the fearing thoughts.

Rchp. I want people to wake up. Realize their reality is not what it should be. It is not natural. It has been forced upon them since the first day they entered our society.

Once again, for those who somewhat understand anything I am talking about. You need to starting learning now.

^^yeah, uh, not trying to hate, but if you're to be taken seriously you should probably refrain from saying things like "fear is not natural"

You see, I am not self-rightous. I am not egotistic. I am not stating I am in some way better off then everyone else. Why in the fuck would I do that? How would that solve any problem? I do not think of myself as "better".

I am not making a statement. I am guiding.

1. There WILL be a big event in the near future that will involve the global community, with everything going on nowadays, it is inevitable. What it is/will be, I could not tell you.

2. Revolutions generally do start from the bottom up and are done so out of necessity. If the situation presents itself, this is entirely possible.

3. Yes, the media forces fear upon it's viewers to keep them captivated, under thier control and stuck in a small, mental box. I have seen Manning's posts before, bothin NSG and in Thinkers Cult. He is not one to jump on the mainstream bandwagon of falling into needless fear because he's told so. The media makes us fear terrorism, rapists, and child abductors, not revolutions. In my opinion, between the distance the average person is from a place of influence and the media's portrayal of, well everything, they have the general populous so much under their thumb that they believe revolution isn't even a thought in our minds. All manning was saying is that if revolution does happen, it should not be through violence and hate. He can feel free to verify this.

4. Yes, wages have increased. It's called inflation.

5. Of course people are living loner, technology has improved. People are not freer than ever overall. We are still binded by the same constraints as we have always been, the only difference is we can travel farther and faster and gain more information faster. But that's not freedom, that's innovation.

6. How the hell can you say there are no imminent threats?

-We have global climate change threatening entire towns to be evacuated in Alaska and elsewhere.

-Every biosphere on earth in decline.

-Species are becoming extinct at a record pace. If you don't see the importance of this and how that effects the earth's balance, then you need to brush up on your biology and ecology.

-We have pests, bacteria and virus' that are becoming increasingly resistant to anti-biotics and pesticides/herbicides.

-We have escalating tensions in nations throughout the world.

-We are in a Recession (which might as well be called a Depression) and it is quickly becoming increasingly Global.

Humans, although one of the most stubborn species ever to grace this earth, also happen to be the most innovative. I have full faith that we can pull through these rough times and have a bright, prosperous future ahead of us. All it takes is a good atitude, and a little motivation and dedication.

This thread, along with the original poster, is just so ridiculous.

Manning, quit preaching. End of.

I absolutely hate when people think that they know the end of and end all of everything and see it as their duty to impose their ideas and beliefs onto other people. It's not your duty at all. You can say your view and stuff, but this self-righteous bullshit about how you need to guide people?

Fuck off.
