i badly need to make some coin, but im so busy with uni and whenever i apply for a job i don't have enough time to go back and make myself noticed ect in order to get hired.

Does anyone know somewhere thats easy to get hired or will hire a starving uni student that isn't somewhere like macdonalds?

Or am I screwed and those types of places are the only place i'll be able to get a job?
 
Nobody here BUT mcdonalds is hiring, I even went to a temp agency and they said they havent had anything in the past two months. In this economy its hard to be choosy with jobs. Look for local campus coffee shops or something. Surely your friends must work somewhere too where they could get you in
 
Yeah, at one point i concidered it, but all the ones that are close to me are occupied with 15 year old trailer trash and often smell like vomit instead of food.
 
How hard is it to get a job as a waitress?

Do i just go to a restaurant and hand in my resume? Even if they're not hiring?

dont hand in a resume to a restaurant. Ive worked at a couple restaurants and bars and anytime someone applies as a waiter/waitress by handing in a resume they promptly throw it away. They want someone with a personality, and they cant tell that from reading a piece of paper. Just doll yourself up, go in and ask for the manager, lie about having some experience and ask if they're hiring and you'll have a very good chance of getting a job even if they're not hiring.
