if u do, u might want to take to heart what he said in his concession speech about how we need to be united, not make pictures of President Bush with a bullet in his head or saying he sucks,saying that doesnt help make u look respectable or civilized. if u say the rest of the world doesnt like us and they dont respect us, how r they suppose to if u show no respect to your own country. more than half the country disagreed with having Senator Kerry as president so maybe he wasnt the best pic.

Dont get me wrong i never had n e thing against kerry he just ran a terrible campaign. But he was very gracious in defeat and easily could have torn this country apart even further Bush knows this Repubs know this, and know he truly is not a liar he said he loves this country and only wants good for it and by know draggin this into the courts he has improved our country the best way he can right now! The votes being close had nothing to do with his campaign. I don't believe he ran a good campaign, nor do I believe Bush ran a good campaign. The reason why it was close is not because almost half of the country strongly believes in Kerry, no, it is because nearly half of the country wanted anything but Bush.

You could've put almost any other candidate in Kerry's shoes and the results would've been similar.

Elections 04 was Bush vs. Anything but Bush.

GhostDragon, if it came down to 'anythign but bush,' then why did Nader, who was 'not bush' get less then 1% poular vote? badnarik didn't even get enough votes to really show on any polls. obviously some of us liked kerry for who he was, not who he wasnt.

 
thats my point. if people were just voting for 'anyone but bush' nader, badnarik, and the other candidates would have gotten more votes. so obviously people didnt do that, they voted for kerry because they agreed with him on issues that mattered to them.

Justo: sure many people believed in Kerry and there are those who strongly support him and his issues. But my point is simple. If more people truly knew who Kerry was, where he really stood, his voting history, and his contradictions, far less people would've voted for him. But many many people did because the USA is such a polar divide, with Bush or anything but Bush. I mean honestly, how much do you really know about Kerry? Go look at every law he's voted for and against and you will see how it's in direct opposition with everything he's said.

But look, it's a dead issue. We could argue this all day and live in the past.. Or we can accept it, move on, and look towards the future.

i think bush won bcz he ran a great campaing, far greater than kerry's....i know he had more resources, but i think kerry just isnt the leader that bush is. his leader qualities, as someone above me mentioned, weren't near up to bush's level, which are heart, passion, confidence, and all other leadership abilities. i dont think that is the only reason he won, i know there are many more, but that is something bush has which entice voters and shows them he's in control and has confidence in what he's doing. all great politicians have it, and bush is certainly one of them. kerry's just weren't up to the level that american voters could have too much confidence in. thats how bush won those in-between votes.......

Bush may not be a good public speaker, but he's definately not dumb. I would be more scared having Kerry in office than I am with Bush. Both have views that I disagree on, but I tend to disagree more with Kerry.

No matter what though, what's done is done, and we need to accept it. I respect Kerry so much for not dragging the election on and conceding, and I am thankful that he did that. He wanted the US to be more united, so we should all make our best efforts to unite.

To win the elections the democrats need a candidate from a southern state (Bill Clinton for example) that way they will win states that they otherwise wouldnt. Kerry from Mass and even if Kerry wasnt running for President the democrats wouldve won Mass anyway so i dont see why they made him their candidate.

I respect Kerry. It was good that he was easy with it. It was really good that he gave the ' we need to be united' message rather than ' Someone Someone 2008.' That was a very, very good thing that I and everyone in this country will greatly appreciate.
